Well, with all the craziness of moving and what not, I've been off the raw wagon for about 2 or 3 months. I was planning on starting up again so I hoped on the scale just to see where I was starting from. I knew I had put weight back on, so I was expecting to be back to 165, where I was before I went raw a while back.... Good news, I wasn't 165, BAD news, I was 180 !!!!! I really needed a big boost to get back into raw, and I guess they don't come much bigger :(. So, I'm back in the saddle, ready to get back on track. I was feeling REALLY discouraged at first, but now I feel like facing this fat square on, brandishing a carrot and yelling "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!" :D

Welcome back to raw. I am also returning after a very long absence. I wish you all the best on your journey. :)

Many welcomes Pilgrim! It's great that you're back on the wagon. Hehe, thanks for the THIS IS SPARTA visual. Now I know what to say when someone offers me pizza or pasta. :p

Thanks for the warm re-welcome :D. So far so good. My first goal is raw until dinner, and so far so good, no slip ups, eventually I'll start replacing the cooked dinners with raw ones. I find my biggest hurdle is boredom. I just haven't found many recipes that I like. Well, desserts are usually great, but not so much the MEAL kind of recipes. So instead of recipes I just eat the ingredients :p. But sometimes I miss eating something more complex (that I care for ).

But I'm sticking with it anyway! Had half a pineapple then a while later a couple of bananas sliced into a bowl with hazelnut milk poured over top for breakfast. For lunch I'm having a head of lettuce, a red pepper and some carrot sticks with Alissa's "Cream Cheese Dill Dip". I'm going to have to whip up some raw snacks too as I find that's when I get the most temptation to sneak something bad, when I need a little something to tide me over! Think I'll make some raw snickers, some LARA type bars and some of Alissa's Banana Crackers.

Ooh, could you share your raw snickers recipe??

You said you get bored with raw dinners? http://therawchef.com has some really crazy stuff you might want to look into. I haven't actually made anything yet, since I don't really have the resources (and I usually crave simple foods), but everything looks fantastic.
