No, I've not tried it... Sorry not to be much help there!
I think with raw foods it's much more about intuitive eating, so structuring your food programme as though you were following a sort of conventional diet is maybe counter-productive... Also, calorie cycling (I think?!) is about weight loss, which you will achieve on raw, if needed, without adding details like counting calories (I have issues with needing to move away from that stuff too, but most people's experiences suggest you just can't treat this like any other diet - it's about building health, and losing excess weight is a part of that :)). When you're eating raw, natural, whole foods, your body should let you know how much it wants/needs, so you might naturally eat tons one day and not a lot the next... like intuitive calorie cycling! ;)
Just my two cents... XxXxX

Yes I have many times back when I used to eat a crazy high animal protein diet. I used to compete in fitness and this type of thing is very common in the fitness and bodybuilding world. It has also been known as zig zag calories. Its typically done to shock your body or metabolism, especially after long periods of dieting and to break through plateaus. Carb cycling it somewhat similar.
In terms of applying this to raw eating, I don't think that the same rules apply here. That's just my humble pie opinion:) I am fairly new to raw eating(about 2 months now) But I am a trainer and nutritionist for many clients. If you want to watch your calories, you could do that, but I think most people who aren't counting calories to a T already naturally zig zag anyway. Most poeple generally do better with a set number for example 1700 calories a day and just starting there. But I think it also depends on how long you have been dieting, how hard you workout, etc.
I also agree with Emma Jane that raw eating is for health first and foremost and weight loss will follow secondary. I chose to begin a raw lifestyle to heal my body of digestion problems and disease.........so far so good. :)
