I noticed something odd. When I was raw for a few months and ate persian food at a family party, I was too tempted since I grew up eating traditional persian meals. I broke out a little bit but, then went back on 100% raw and noticed the detox right away. I got rashes andbreakouts in the SAME areas as when I started raw. Now I know body is eliminating toxins, and raw food is not just boulogne!

I also read about ways to speed up the detox, by fasting so your immune system can eliminate waste much faster since your not putting toxins or food in your digestive system. It allows your digestive system to get to work. So, If I'm ever hungry, I'm just going to eat a fruit since I doubt I can fast for more than 3 days.

Does anyone else know any ways to speed up the detox? It's kinda taking a toll on my social life because I have all these rashes everywhere I don't feel like going out! Even thoughraw has made me wake up happy everymorning, I love raw.

if you get past the first three days in a fast...it is usually smooth sailing.

I read it in Matt Monarch's book, taking enzymes on an empty stomach speeds up the detox process. Good luck with your raw journey!! :)

These are the ways I speed up any detox I'm going through.

* Going to a sauna (though not sure how this one would go with a rash).

* Drinking plenty of water.

* Drinking green juices. Including lots of celery and cucumber.

* Adding ginger to juices.

* Exercise.
