Hey Im from Texas, obviously. :) I have known about the raw food way of life as well as the diet fads surrounding it for a number of years now. There are so many variations to it, its about as confusing as trying to understand all the denominations in Christianity. haha :D
I am just hoping to find some help here when I am confused about how to prepare something or get some good simple recipe ideas. I have some type of mini-food processor I got from a relative, a peeler, an awesome knife collection and thats it. Eating raw veggies and fruit is not new to me as my dad is an organic gardener and it was how I was brought up. But the world of "Raw Food Living" is very new to me. The concepts of all those powders and dried this or that from some island on the other side of the world in so alien to me. I wonder if there is a way to be Raw AND Local, which means none of those foreign plant powders and cubes. To me, it can't really be raw and fresh if it comes in a jar. Perhaps Im wrong about this.
I hope to learn some more recipes and simple meals to keep me going through my last year at university as well as just find more interesting ways to eat my veggies. I LOVE vegetables. No really, I mean LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Fruit I can eat in moderation and I mostly prefer to drink them. Eating fruit is not so much my thing. They're too sweet most of the time. Though when my sweet tooth awakens I can eat huge helpings of strawberries. :)
Thanks for reading!
