Today will be my Day 2. . . Day 1 was not bad, other then I was a bit jittery and very sleepy, and slept a ton. I attempted a salt water flush after a nap yesterday, which I usually find very simple, but yesterday it didn't work at all. I was pretty disappointed that I drank salt water for nothing. I have a new brand of sea salt that I'm not completely sold on. I think I'm going to focus on just staying raw and try and forego the flushing going forward, at least for the next several weeks - Even though I love a good SWF. Has anyone had an experience where one hasn't worked with your body before? This was my first time that absolutely NOTHING happened.
I'm having blackberries for breakfast this morning -- absolutely delicious, especially since I woke up starving. All of the raw recipes on some of the forum member's signatures look absolutely spectacular, but I can't help but be intimidated by some of them. I've always loved vegan cooking, but raw un-cooking is a whole different ballgame. The sprouting and soaking and dehydrating, all seems to require so much organization and patience -- two traits that I do NOT pride myself upon possessing. :)
If anyone knows of anything SUPER simple that will mix up my routine a bit, I'd love the insight. Many of you seem so talented and experienced in all of this, and it is truly inspiring.
Good luck on Day 11 everyone =)

Hi Lauren...don't know anything about salt water flushing so can't comment on that but what I'll say about the dehydrating/sprouting is that I felt exactly the same as you and that it was all quite daunting. My advice is...just do it! Don't think about it too much just get on and do it and it all falls into place. If you haven't got a dehydrator then maybe buy some raw crackers from a supplier to break things up a bit. I found I could eat really simply in the day but then felt like something cooked in the evening and crackers helped me through. I also ate plenty of olives and avocados. Anyway, haven't got much time now but hope that helps a bit? Enjoy it, whatever you do!
Brekkie – grapes, mango, banana, hemp oil and greens smoothie
Snack – kale, spinach, banana, date smoothie
Lunch – kale, spinach, tomato, avo, lemon, olive oil & cayenne pepper salad
Snack - raw bar and two peaches
Dinner - real toast, nut butter, olives and salad
Snack - cannoli and a few pieces raw chocolate
Started off well and then had a bit of a nut feast again...will get into routine again of fruit one day and then free-for-all the next.

Morning All~
I agree, the sprouting, dehydrating, etc can seem daunting but once you get the swing of it it only take a little planning! Give it a try, it will be worth it :)
Having super emotional detox today, not sure if I want to cry, laugh, or strangle someone... lol... thankfully this passes..
Had a lara bar for breakfast, have to run out once I decide to get motivated, so not sure about lunch or dinner yet but having a salad craving so I bet there will be on of those in my future!
Found my dehy. though!!!! YAY, so now I've got cheezy kale chips in it!!!

Umm, I just had a sweet, juicy orange. Planning on a half cantaloupe with blackberries once I get to work. Made a collard roll with taco meat (I use 1/3 walnuts and 2/3 zucchini), and still eating the avacado salsa I made over the weekend. I bought a great big daikon radish and peeled it, then sliced on the diagonal into chips for scooping. Yummy! Oh, and can't forget my smoothie of blueberries, banana and spinach.
Have a great raw day!

Wasn't very hungry today, after the Lara bar I munched on a cucumber with some of the "cheezy" sauce from the kale chips, and just finish a huge garden salad for dinner.
Going to watch the Raw for 30 days doc. tonight, or at least start it!

How do you make the smoothie with the greens & black berry? Just put in a blender with lemon and drink? Sounds kind of tasty.

Today I had:
breakfast: 1 cup of blackberries
lunch: big green salad (kale spinach avocado celery tomato)
snack: blackberries again
dinner: green drink with cucumber celery kale beets and ginger
snack: tomato + avocado salad
does that sound like a normal raw day? I certainly felt extremely energetic and am not hungry at the moment - so I'm content. It was almost bizarre how much energy I had this afternoon during a time when I normally begin to grow lethargic.
Thanks for everyone's help!

Sounds like you are doing so great everyone!!
I don't really understand why my cravings are so bad right now. I think maybe stress is causing it. I was having no problems until yesterday. I have been 100% raw since the middle of march and once I hit about the second week of April I was fine. I really wanted to give in again today but, made it thru the day.
Mock Tuna salad, a lot of bananas and I made a yummy chocolate sauce that I put on bananas and macadamia nuts.
I am hoping that tomorrow I will be back in the right place mentally. Planning to start my day with a green smoothy and then probably off to the doctor with my son who may have a UTI.

Hey kgarrett, Ive been having some bad cravings too. Not really liking heavier raw foods right now. Salads, fruit, guac, and corn chips are about the only thing I can stomach. Oh, and chocolate shakes. That's what I've been eating. The husband is making some stuffed mushrooms to dehydrate right now and the thought of them makes me want to retch.
Lauren, I second just jumping in on dehydrating. It is really overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it I promise its no scarrier than an oven - just with longer "cook" times and you can't burn anything - just turn it into leather:). Which I did tom some mushrooms once.
Bassenjimamma. You're almost at 90 days!! How cool. And congrats.

Jepp, huge handful of spinach, 1 lime, I just used the meat, so I cut it out so I wouldn't get so much pith, raspberries (or blueberries) and 1 banana..whip it up with some h2o and ice ..smooth, tangy and sweet..
KatyJ..yes, getting there..I am never turning back though.so I will keep on trucking..
