Ya know, I never truely understood how addicting cooked food was before I went raw. I slipped up in a major way for two weeks strait daily and I CAN NOT GET BACK ON TRACK! I've gained about 10 lbs and all my other symptoms that went away on raw have returned :( I wonder how fast the weight will come off if I go completely raw again...I still need to figure out how to post my journal stuff, I think I just comment on my own picture thing?

Hey. Just wanted to encourage you and let you know that I went through the exact same thing. For me it would have been nearly impossible to beat those cravings and go raw permanently were it not for the fact that I did the master cleanse. I think doing a fast or cleanse can help you get clean and bypass a lot of the obstacles and cravings that could bring you down. You dont have to do the master cleanse you could do any kind. I did it for 40 days because i had some major concerns but anything is worth it! SO just wanted to offer that. It might help:)

Yes you just post a comment under your own picture each time you want to make a journal entry.
I also went through this, more than once! The weight will come back off, no worries. Its amazing. Once you experience the vibrancy of raw its impossible to forget.
Remember, its about persistence, not perfection.
Glad you are back. We are cheering you on and in no time, all those symptoms will once again be gone and you will be feeling wonderful!

Warmly~
Carmel

Thanks guys (or should I say gals? haha). The quote "it's persistance, not perfection," lifted my spirits a lot. I love that quote now as it applies to more than just raw in my life.

You already ARE back on track, you are here with us, and you are communicating, that is the very first step.

I went off raw for a few months, kept trying to get back on, I gained 18 pounds, WOW, I have been raw 31 days and lost 23 pounds, so I am smaller than I was, OH BOY.

YOU CAN DO THIS. TRUST ME, if I CAN DO THIS, YOU can do this.

Just take it one meal at a time, one snack at a time, one bite at a time.

You've done it before you can do it again.

We have all been where you are, and some of us will be there again, just take one bite of raw, then another then another, pretty soon, you will be eating raw, and nothing else.

and feeling GREAT!!!!! YES !!!!!!

Know exactly how you feel as I feel off the wagon the last couple of days (chocolate, biscuits, hot chips) and I feel like CRAP!! Of why do we do this I just asked my husband. I had been high raw for 4 months and only 100% for 16 days but could feel the difference so why get off?????? I need to get back on so badly so tomorrow is the day!!! I think I get bored so added some stir fry, and that led to chips, to biscuits and you know the rest................

Anyway just wanted to say you are not alone and we can all do this together - thanks for letting ME know too that I am not alone!!

Big hug.

I completely understand the boredum part. I know with raw you can make TONS of dishes and combine the foods, but personally I can't because Ii'm allergic to A LOT of foods, even raw. Most of the dishes the staples are nuts. Also, I'm trying to do JUST organic and here the only organ we have is:apples, pears, oranges, spinach, romain, onion, celery, carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, snowpeas, sugarsnaps, and greenbeans. It gets VERY boring. I was doing salad bars (i'm a salad bar addict) and put olives on it...not good and those sent me into a tailspin!

Seems we all go off and on many times before we get it figured out that it is just not worth going off....I still struggle but have hopes of one time making it to forever on raw!! I think that for me having Allisa's book now will help make more meals that keep me full..
One thing that Allisa said that has really helped me is to not go hungry on raw, which I always do. I just didnt' eat enough then come early afternoon I was just like "give me whatever stops my stomach from growling"!!
So it is a process that we are on and you'll get there! At least you are wanting to get back on, and that is a great start! Remember that the first few days are the hardest!!

Best of luck,
Jamie

I was raw for 18 days and fell off the wagon for a little over a week. Now I'm back and on Day 2. I'm finding I'm struggling a lot more this time than I did at this point the first time. :( I still have to cook for DH and the boys and last time I had no problem with that, this time their stuff is looking too good. So far I'm hanging in there and hoping I can make it. I shopped yesterday and I have a menu.
