Hi I'm Lindsay! I'm 19 from northern Utah (soon to be South Dakota)
I am a big animal lover and have a small zoo here of dogs, cats, birds, and a fish... :D I've always been very close with animals, from the beginning, so it seems to be a pretty natural progression towards, well, not eating them. I have successfully eliminated all meat from my diet and I have been flirting with the idea of doing as much raw as I can. I did a little experiment this past week and I really had no problem eating raw all day, but by dinnertime... I was so completely hungry it was ridiculous! So... I think I'm doing it wrong! Which is why I'm here! :)

I've struggled with weight my entire life, and after I got sick in high school and became homeschooled I ballooned up to over 300 lbs... Combining severe depression and the tendency to eat my feelings with the only movement being from one area of the house to another... well... Obviously it became a problem. Luckily, I am now down below the 300 mark (thanks to the last several months of not eating meat)... but I am FAR from my goal... healthy. I don't have any number in mind or pant size. I just want to feel good. I've been doing a lot of reading and I am very interested in the raw lifestyle... So I'm here to learn.

Hi LynziMarie,

welcome to the raw-journey.

With rawfood all your problems should fade away. If you are hungry at dinnertime eat some more nuts before and increase your amount of greens, your body needs a lot of nutritions during the transition.

When I started I ate a very big bowl of salad in the evening and during the day at least two big handfull of nuts and seeds, but now after 4,5 month I reduced the amount drastically. What helps me a lot are those green smoothies, I have a lot of them and do not feel hungry and my body gets all he needs.

Stay raw and it will change your life.

Saludos,

Marcel
