I've been doing a high raw diet for a couple months now and I have noticed that I have a lot more bruises and they seem to last longer than normal. My mom went raw with me for awhile and she had more bruises too. Is there something missing from my diet or an explanation for the bruising that you guys can think of? I am walking and bike riding but not anything more physical than that that would explain them.

I remember hearing once that bruising can be helped by increasing your vitamin C intake. the RDA is way too low. It's a pretty amazing little vitamin from everything I've been reading about it lately.

My mom always told me it could be low iron?? Anyway....I used to bruise very easily. I always had a bruise on me! After going raw, I hardly bruise at all! Interesting:)

I believe Dandelions are a good source of Iron AND Vitamin C. Go out in your yard, get on all fours and chomp away. You can't lose.

Raisins and prunes, too.

I always eat raisins an hour before I give blood, so the iron count is high enough.
