Hi,

I've been experiemtning with eating more herbs lately, I've been eating lots of fresh parsley, basil and coriander, and I've now bought some fresh thyme and fresh rosemary, but I'm sure not how to eat them. With parsley, basil and coriander i've been eating the stems and the leaf, so ive been eating pratically the whole pot, but with thyme and rosemary, can i eat the stems, or do i just pick the leaves? I ask this because the stems seem a little "woody" and i don't want to eat something that doesn't digest very well.

Thanks, james

I take them off the stems. I think a lot of it is personal taste, but you're right about the woodiness.

I remove the stems. And as for Rosemary, I don't really like eating the needles themselves, unless they're blended into something (thus demolishing the needle-ness) or made into a tea. Thymes all good though.
