Hi, new from Florida

Hello, I'm new here. I have been reading the boards for awhile, but never posted.

I have tried raw eating before, but found it hard being the only one in my house hold doing it. I have had many life changes lately and feel it's a great opportunity to start a new phase in my life.

I'm 33 years old. I live in Florida, near Tampa. I am trying to decide 100% at once or a slow approach. I would also like to do a fast at some point. Being that I'm still new at this I think I should keep meals simple so I'm not discouraged. IDK? :) I would LOVE to have a place to discuss this life style.

Hi. I visit Tampa a lot. There is a raw group there and they have regular meet ups at Grass Roots Restaurant.

Thanks for the support. I listened to some of the podcasts last night for a little mental boost. :o

I'm keeping it simple today with my foods. I going to a big fruit stand this weekend and I'll load up on goodies.

Erica - I have a really lovely client in Tampa who is teaching raw food classes on occasion - let me know if you want her contact info - she's super sweet - great energy!

AND ~ Welcome!! My husband is not raw - still eats my goodies and likes them - but last night, he was grilling while I was munching on a salad. *shrugs shoulders* It's no big deal at this point. He does his thing. I do mine. And we sit and laugh and dine at the same table.

Welcome Eva! I became raw gradually. Although some find it easier to quick, cold turkey! ;) The key is finding which way is going to be right for you. I didn't want to go through any detox symptoms so that is why I took my time.
