I just read about this as well. I am so happy for Alissa. She is following her heart and not allowing herself to be consumed with (what i cannot even begin to imagine) running businesses.

We are all evolving and I applaud her courage to move on, sit down with a juice, catch her breath and drink up life.

Does anyone know why she didn't sell it as is instead of closing it? I am not knowledgeable about the restaurant business at all, but it sounded like she was selling it in her blog (as it was doing so well), but then also sounds like it is closing....:confused:

selling it would have been great. a raw restaurant i loved over here closed because of the owner's personal reasons. i want my gourmet raw, darnit :p

Oh, I so wanted to go there sometime! It sounds as if Grezzo is already closed, but in the beginning of her writing it seems like she was selling it. Sad to have missed the Grezzo experience but I am glad Alissa is following her joys in life. I'm also glad that one of those joys is teaching. I am definitely pre-ordering her next book! According to Amazon it comes out on my 15th wedding anniversary.

I remember walking into Grezzo for the first time and seeing your beautiful face! And what were you doing? Talking with people, sharing the joys of Raw with them!!! I wish you could have seen your face as you spoke. What stays with me is how much you truly LOVE what you do. And, we ALL love you for it! I'm grateful to have seen you there, living your dream--your passion for that moment. I can't WAIT to see what you do next!!! Alissa's wonderful post is something we should all take to heart. It seems Grezzo's was a wonderful experience that has brought Alissa to a new place and a new book. I am thrilled that those of us that couldn't visit Grezzo's are going to benefit from Alissa's venture by getting to share the experience through the recipe book. I can hardly wait to get my copy. :)

A huge hug to Alissa for coming back to center, realizing what's important in her life, and taking action to follow it. Also for really sharing what is going on - very eloquent and can apply to anyone that has gotten caught up in the fast track. Actually I had a sense that way too much was on her plate(pardon the pun here). She'll still be doing a lot, but more in accordance with her inner values. Her body was literally telling her to slow down. As we know, always listen to your body!

Listening to your heart and following your heart really can be challenging from time to time. Must have been a really tough decision to make!! And yet knowing that following your heart is the best thing you can do for yourself at all times. I have to say that I think it's super awesome that you have the courage to do so!! WHAT!!!!!!!!! :eek: I had NO IDEA!!!!!!! Oh my GOODNESS!!!! That just breaks my heart that they did that to Alissa!!!!!!! That is just TERRIBLE!!!! :( ...and I had JUST written such nice things about Leah!!!! What a total DISAPPOINTMENT she turned out to be!!! Alissa, I am TRULY sorry!!!
