Hi, my name is Melanie and I come from a family of certified carnivores (bleh!). My husband complains everytime I make a vegan meal and my daughter just picks at her food and is generally averse to veggies.
I just came off of 2 months of doing an Atkins style diet and I look and feel like complete utter crap. My husband lost 15 pounds so far. Me- none! I have zero energy and the diet actually worsened my depression.
I have always been extremely picky when it comes to eating meat and have never really been a fan of it. I only cook and eat it to keep everyone else around me happy. I want to do what makes ME happy without ticking off my husband. I need to find a way to get my family to not complain when all I really care about is our health and well-being. I hope I find a lot of useful tips here!
