Good morning everyone
A new beautiful raw day, has started. Have a a wonderful day!!
B: BIG green smoothie, with spinach, goutweed from the garden, parsley, apple, pears, plum, coconut oil, a little bit of nuts and gojis, hempseeds, maca and a little agave.
L: Small cabbage and cucumber salad with sunfloweerseeds, and oil/lemon dressing.
D: My first zucchini pasta with marinara sauce, topped with parsley and (not raw) olives. Yummii. The power went out, so I had to throw out my frozen bananas, which was not frozen anymore :) So instead of ice-cream I made a chocolate pudding with the bananas, cacao, mint, coconut oil and agave.

Good Morning!!! What a beautiful day! Sunny & warm here in Maine :)
Had a fabulous raw day yesterday and that is big for me, I battle huge food addictions and unconscious behavior when it comes to food, so for some reason yesterday was a breeze, no bad craving and no caving in!!!!
Started today off with a tropical fruit salad for breakfast, couldn't even finish it, big deal for me also, I was just full and stopped eating... (who is that girl?? lol...)
Lunch, not sure yet, I'm thinking smoothies, my son asked for one when I make one today so I might go that route and probably finish with a salad tonight...
I can't find my dehydrator... grrrr... I moved recently and is MIA... and I was going to make cheesy kale chips and onion bread.. so I'll be back in the garage today....
Wishing everyone a great day!!
I am feeling so much better today- totally back to normal in every way! I ate a lot last night and got a great nights sleep, and woke up this morning ready for a run. I thought I’d feel sore and slow, but nothing hurt and I ran at my normal pace and picked it up a bit towards the end. I seriously doubt I would be recovered by now if I wasn’t eating raw foods! I have heard that it typically takes a least 2 weeks for your body to recover from a hard marathon, especially your first one. Other running "gurus" say that it takes one day for every mile you raced. But 2 days later I’m ready to go!
My body is still having a slight aversion to a lot of fruits, which sucks. I’m listening to it though and giving it what it wants, and it seems to be working for me.
S: 2 bananas
w/o: 5.5 mile run + dog walk
B: 4 raw energy bites (like bite sized lara bars with seeds rather than nuts) and 3 carrots w/ some hummus I whipped up last night…all the food I had left lol
L: brought a big romaine salad w/ tomatoes, cucumber, half an avo, vinegar and a little pepper
S: 2 apples, may need something else too, we’ll see
D: after a Trader Joe’s run- GS w/ 2 bananas, frozen mango, spinach & water; banana w/ raw almond butter

Started off with a green smoothie of avocado, yellow squash, spinach, cilantro, tomato, pepper and sea salt. Was delicious! I love the taste of cilantro.
Lunch will probably be some bananas and nuts.
Dinner will probably be a fruit smoothie.
Extra fruits or seeds will be added as snacks as needed.

I woke up with a killer headache today.
I'm having my green smoothie for breakfast, watermelon, strawberries and kale. Lunch will be zucchini pasta with marinara sauce and a couple of slices of portabella mushroom that have been marinating. Dinner will be onion bread with sliced tomato, onion and avocado. Fruit for snacks.
I'm really enjoying my food and I noticed that my appetite isn't as big as it usually is. More like, I'm satisfied with my portions, I'm not craving "more more more", the big double portions of pasta, etc. I'm requiring less volume because the food is full of nutients, I suppose. Funny because I always *thought* I ate very healthy.

Wow, I feel great today! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and I have just enjoyed the most delicious smoothie. I have been listening to the Louise Hay affirmations and really enjoying them...me and my little babe wake up slowly whilst listening to them. I've been doing 20 mins rebounding and 20 mins yogalates every day for AGES now...things are starting to come together! Thanks everyone for making this board so welcoming...it's a joy to come here...and it's easy to keep coming back.
I am soaking some wheat berries to make some real toast in the next few days and I am going to make some marinated nuts...YUM! For dinner, I have soaked some sea spaghetti and am having that with pesto...what a scrumptious day!
Brekkie - juice with beetroot, apple, carrot, orange, lemon and lettuce
Snack - mango, banana, hemp oil and greens
Lunch - leaves, baby plum tomatoes and macadamias
Snack - a plum and some raw chocolate
Dinner – sea spaghetti, pesto, tomatoes and asparagus
Snack - a mushroom with some nut butter
It's been a heavy day nut-wise... I think I'll have a fruit and smoothies day again tomorrow.

Oh boy, tonight was/ is trying..... between some serious stress and my husband (the enabler..lol) who wanted to go out for pizza (he's killin' me!) I did GREAT! He decided he wanted red hot dogs and as good as they smelled and the summer memories they brought up I said to myself... "NO, that is not real food, it will do no good for you, plus just one is over 14 grams of fat (he ate 4.. OMG  gross)" and I opted for a tomato and olive salad..
So another successful day with a few craving but kept telling myself that it's just my ego mind fueling those and I don't need it..
ended up with a salad for lunch, no snacks, soaked up tons of Vit D, happy with today, hope you all had a great day too!

Hey everyone,
Not doing to great on my internet goals. Doesn't help that I am not feeling great and am doing research to get ready for my cardiology appointment on Friday. That keeps me on the internet. I was actually searching on here today for some info. I feel better prepared for the appointment though. Still trying to find the right time of day to check this site and facebook and keep it at just once.
Anyway, not much to eat today. I am feeling better but appetite still not all the way back up. I had half a banana and an apple for breakfast. A small piece of raw cheesecake that was left in the freezer for a snack. Dinner I had an apple and I just finished an avocado with salt.
My taste buds are really changing now and so are my cravings.
Hope everyone is doing well and loving their raw food!

I am so happy that I didn't give in to cravings today, I was hanging on a wire and justifying like MAD!!! I plan to keep reminding myself I'm giving this a real 30 day try. I feel like I'm not healing as fast as I should be or whatever, but I'm not appreciating the subtle changes, like waking up more easily in the morning, feeling more confident and having more energy, having better social interactions, more presence.
At the same time I don't have as many ways to numb my emotions, but I'm feeling proud of myself for letting them come, watching them or focusing on my breath and relaxation if I can't sit with them, and letting them move through me. The contemplative psychology class I'm taking is keeping me in line in this way.
Ate some halvah I made, a green smoothie, my salsa, strawberries, another halvah, and a collard wrap. I was disappointed with the collard wrap yesterday, too bland even with the pate on it, but I just added a bit of mustard today (I'm not going to be super militant about something like that and dried herbs) and it was great! Reminded me of a normal sandwich, was totally satisfying, I'm now full and feel really happy and my cravings are gone! Yay for veggie wraps :)

Hey all,
Forgot to post yesterday - Didn't really have much prepared yesterday except for some chia seed pudding I made in the morning and ate for breakfast. I went out to one of the fruit carts outside my office and got a bunch of bananas and some grapes. Ate 6 bananas!! And the cup of grapes and then went to Quintessence for dinner with The Husband. I had their chips and dips (guac and salsa with corn/flax chips). Yum, that salsa is good. And then got this ravioli that was just gross. I took one bite and put my fork down. So got a mango pudding parfait for dessert and called it a meal.

Hey you two, good job not giving into the cravings. I'm on day 42? and I still get cravings now and then but really only bad once a week at most. I swear when I get them though I feel like I'll die if I don't have whatever it is I want right that moment. But then they pass and like right now I have no desire whatsoever to eat anything cooked. So keep on keepin' on. It does get better and better.

Hey Kgarrett, as a fellow internet junkie I can comiserate. Maybe try adding something positive that you like doing that will naturally replace the internet time? I find that works for me sometimes. Like what would you rather be doing with your time that makes you want to limit the internet usage in the first place - and then just try doing more of that :)
