View Full Version : What does your typical raw day look like?

I was wondering what a typical raw day looks like for everyone in terms of food. For instance, lately I've been starting my day out with either raw oatmeal with raisins, apple, cinnamon, banana and almond milk or a smoothie consisting of a large handful of greens, almond milk, bananas, honey and cinnamon. I love cinnamon lately! :D Then later I'll drink some green smoothie, I've made throughout the day. I'll usually have some sort of filling salad with guacamole or just the plain avocado in my salad. I'll snack on a very very small handful of nuts. For dinner, either the rest of my green smoothie I've made that day or a small salad. I do drink coffee but that isn't raw but I do want to be honest. :) I'll most likely have black beans in my lunch salad too.:D

I start off my morning with a buttload of water
then around 10am-11 I'll start sippin on a quart of green smoothie.
Then I have another smoothie for lunch :D
Some days, like yesterday, I had three smoothies! two green, one fruit
then for dinner I'll have something like raw tacos, or crudites with ranch, or a big salad
I developed a slightly unusual habit of getting up for breakfast anytime from 3am to 6am so I can get up properly and go running at 9 ish without needing to have breakfast.
So for brekkie it 2 or 3 oranges,1 apple, 1 bannana and herbal tea at above time.
Then it was juice at 12 ish followed by a big salad at 1pm with apple and bannana for desert.(thinking of stopping juicing now and adding smoothie later instead)
So smoothie at 5 ish. A pear, bannana, apple and a nice amount of greens.
Then maybe some cashews later followed with mandatory apple and bannanna and cup of herbal tea.
*I only ate raw oatmeal with raisins lately for the first time christina and so loved it. Its so chewey. Thats one thing I miss slightly about being raw and thats chewey food.

An apple and a banana, or grapes in the morning.
For lunch, a green smoothie with a lot of greens and fruits.
In the evening a salad or a soup, cause right now I have no dehydrator nothing fancy like pizza nor tacos or so, but in 2 month I'll buy one.
As a snack in between some nuts and datiles or dried tomatoes or some fruits I like, apple, strawberries, grapefruit and so on.
For social events I prepare some cashew-aioli or something similiar.
I always have over 1 quart green smoothie for breakfast.
Lunch might be something leftover from supper the night before - or a light fare: veggies dipped in Snowdrop's Ranch..
Mid-day I try to make 1 quart green juice.
Dinner is some type of salad, usually 'non-lettuce'. Or I love to have zucchini pasta with marinara sauce about once a week.
Then something sweet like fruit later on after supper.*Ü*

For breakfast I will have between 3 and 5 oranges.
Lunch is a HUGE salad with tons of veggies, a delicious avocado, and oil vinegrette.
Supper will be a green smoothie or some more oranges. I love my oranges.
If I am hungry during the day I will snack on more oranges (see a pattern here? :) ) or some dates or maybe some nuts
Sometimes for dessert I will have some cashews with cumin and lemon, so yummy, or my delicious banana ice cream with pecans and chocolate sauce. MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm!

right now I am fasting, but on a regular day
2 16 oz tumblers of water in the am.
Juice around 11 am
Lunch either guacamole with vegi, gs, celery with peanut butter and raisin, or fruit salad.
Dinner BIG green salad
Snacks fruit, dates stuffed with walnuts, raw truffles, almond milk sweetend with honey and cinnamon, banana ice cream (YUMMY).
