OK, I need you pros out there please....I am reading about the benefits of adding aloe vera to the cleansing process....any info will be appreciated as to do I just add a bit from my aloe plant or what???? (lol) Your opinions please.
I quote...
""Aloe vera, which is a plant more than a vegetable, is a wonderful detoxifier of the bloodstream and lymphatic system.""
LOL Melissa,
'do I add a bit of my aloe vera plant'!
I used aloe vera a couple of times before, as a cleansing product for my intestines. I bought a bottle of AV juice in the health food store. It said on the bottle that the juice is good to help you clean your intestines and it also helps with constipation and stuff.
I used to take two spoons (the ones you eat soup with) before my meals, but that was before raw, so I don't know if you'll need as much when you are eating raw, at least it wouldn't hurt I guess.
I do notice that I can go to the toilet easier for #2, so I think it does help with the cleaning stuff, but that's the only benefit I experienced with it so far...
hope this helped!

My girlfriend used to swear by the stuff. I took it for some time simply for the curiousity ~ maybe just to quiet her down a little bit if you know what I mean
I've never heard of my nutritionist speaking about it ~ nor anyone else I've come across in the raw world. I did feel good taking it however so why not give it a try? And I'm speaking about the aloe vera juice commonly found in health food stores rather than taking it from the plant itself.
Cheers,

Thanks guys, I know about the stuff in the store, just peaked my curiosity about throwingsome of the plant in my juicer or blender???? I will wait on someone who may know about the plant itself.....never know it might kill me

I'm thinking more along the lines of a really blech-y taste!!!!!!!!! :D
Ow okay, you want to see if you can actually use your aloe vera plant instead of buying it from the store...
well, never tried eating it, but it did put in on my skin once, like after sunbathing, and it did NOT smell good, in fact, it smelled horrible! Not anything like the AV gel you buy... so I'm thinking, if it smells bad, what will the taste be like...
But hey, I don't think it would hurt, as long as you've got the right AV plant, apparantly there are different types... so make sure you don't use the wrong one, don't want you to get hurt or anything!
Bbye
