Ok so I was ready to say I was sitting here enjoying my kung pao (I don't know how it is spelled) broccoli and mushrooms but, it was starting to make me nauseous. It is very yummy. Maybe I will just have to accept that raw brocolli isn't for me. The smell was so delicious!

Anyway, on the internet stuff - I did way better yesterday with that but, I did check this page at bedtime. UGH! It is so hard to stay off at night, but I need to figure that out. I need a good time of day to check everything I need to and nighttime is so natural but, one of the things I want to work on is being on the computer at bedtime. It messes up family time and messes up bedtime. I did only go onto facebook once which was good.

I am not feeling very well since last Saturday. I am headed to a cardiologist at the end of the week. I went from very energetic to completely exhausted, racing heartbeat, occasional jaw pain. Washing the dishes feels like a workout right now. This has happened before but, not since last summer. It always goes away when I stop exercising for a long time. Other times they thought maybe my GERD or maybe neuro muscular but, this time I am sure it is somehow vascular unless they can find something else like diabetes but, I have been checked for that. I don't understand since I have lost 40 pounds, my cholesterol is great, etc. I am thinking maybe small vessel disease. We shall see.

I don't know what I will eat today. My appetite is a bit down. Maybe I will eat that last piece of raw cheesecake in the freezer to get some nuts in.

Have a great day everyone!

Getting off the forum now but, I think what I will do to keep from randomly checking it is follow a couple of threads that I really need answers to and the answers will come to my inbox. That should help.

Kgarrett, I hope you feel better! Try to get some rest if possible, at least until you know what's wrong.

Thank you again to everyone for your congrats yesterday! You all rawk :)

I'm still feeling a bit sick and haven't been able to eat enough since the race, but I'm trying to eat what I can since I know I need the calories. I had 4 bananas this morning, and have 2 mangoes, half a mini watermelon and 2 more bananas packed for work. I really want salad, so I will get some romaine, cucumbers and tomatoes after work for a plain salad, and probably have a green smoothie too!

I am not working out today AGAIN! It feels so weird to take 2 days off in a row, but my legs are still very sore and I'm tired! I'm hoping to try my first run back tomorrow, or at the very least do some yoga!

I'm realizing I'm so not interested in a lot of preparation, food-wise. So, I think I have to keep eating enough of the simple things I do enjoy, like green smoothies and salads, and let it go at that.

I imagine I'll come across some simple recipes along the way, to give a little variety. ...It still seems challenging to me, to realize just how much produce I need to be buying at the store, to last a few days.

Smoothie: Spinach, strawberry, banana
Salad: mixed greens, avo, raisins, walnuts, onion, o/v
Another smoothie

Hello all! I'm working 12 hour shifts most of the week so I'm having to prep/plan carefully. I'm surrounded by coworkers who eat take out 2-3 times per shift and I need to be sure I have a variety of food available so I'm not tempted.

I'm enjoying a smoothie of kale and watermelon right now, and it's delicious!

I'm packing a banana and a grapefruit, a huge fruit salad of mango, pineapple and strawberries, and a salad of corn, avocado, tomato, red onion, dressed with cilantro, lime juice. Oh, and 2 very small pieces of onion bread. I think I'll throw in a piece of my homemade lara bar (apple cinnamon).

Have a great day!

I'm so excited, I just ran 10 min without taking a break. My maximum before was 3 minutes. I never really manage to keep running, so I never improved. I'm so happy and even more motivated. I think I may have overdone it a little, but I wanted to see how much I could resist and I'm very surprised.. Juhuuu :)

It's simply amazing if it's because of the raw food.... I LOVE RAW FOOD :D

Bagalamukhi: Nice!! Congrats. And good luck on your exam. I'm sure the raw food will help your brain power, too :)

I am not working out today AGAIN! It feels so weird to take 2 days off in a row, but my legs are still very sore and I'm tired! I'm hoping to try my first run back tomorrow, or at the very least do some yoga! Danielle, get off your lazy butt, come on!!! :) j/k I think two days rest is well deserved. Heck, take 3.

Working from home upstate again today. I had a big glass of OJ for breakfast and then later The Husband made us a pineapple, mango, kale green smoothie. I downed about a quart and a half.

Creamy Miso soup for a late lunch/early dinner. Now I'm hungry again. Hrmph.

We got in the car about 45 minutes ago to head back to the city but then the cat jumped out when I stopped at our mailbox. Now he's hiding in the bushes outside and we're sort of stuck here. Grrrr. Maybe I'll go get a coconut for a smoothie snack.

Loving my food choices today! I had a piece of raw fudge for breakfast ;) then a green smoothie, tomato-pineapple-strawberry salsa, and finally a collard wrap with Alissa's Sunny Pate and tons of veggies. I put so much in it I can barely even close it. Absolutely the perfect food day for me!
