Good morning ( or actually it's 15 PM here :) )

I was working a 24 hour shift yesterday, and came home in the morning. I felt very sick with nausea, and the devil on my shoulder started to tell me, maybe it was not so good with this raw diet now. Also I got the stupid thought, that I would never have the taste for raw food again... Amazing how the ego wants to trick you sometimes :)
After sleeping half of the day, I feel good again :)

Breakfast/lunch: Banana, mango, berry ice cream.
Dinner: Salad with cabbage, romano, tomatoes, sunflowerseeds, mushrooms, yellow pepper, ramson and green onion. Oil and lemon dressing. Yummii

Hi folks. Got up very early this morning. I had a smoothie of romaine, blueberries and a peach. I've never had that combo and I can't say that I loved it.

Made pate out of sprouted lentils/walnuts and just had some in a collard wrap. That was my first try at a raw collard leaf and it was pretty good. My pate was a little bland so I need to tweak the recipe a bit. Certainly was a healthy lunch!

I have to work this evening, so I'll be packing dinner and snacks. I have a red grapefruit, some fresh pineapple, and a homemade lara-type bar for snacks. Dinner will be a salad and zucchini pasta and marinara sauce.

I have onion bread in the dehydrator, this is the first time I've made it. I'm really trying to prep stuff ahead so I won't be tempted to eat cooked.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Oh no - I had not raw food today. Don't worry, it was just communion at church:) It felt a little bit strange though to put cooked food in my mouth. I didn't think about it too much except when I first took the wafer out of the plate.

Hope everyone is having a great raw day today. I am still coming off of the fast so I has 2 green smoothies and an apple. I will probably have more apples to finish out my day.

I got to visit my CSA today for open house- I was so so excited. I came home with some herbs and a bunch of asparagus. I am trying to find a marinade for the asparagus and then I want to wilt it in the dehydrator. Has anyone done this before. I was hoping to do it tonight but I am exhausted.

Ok so my goals for this next week include:
Keeping up my cardio exercise that I have been doing the last 2 weeks and adding in some weight baring exercise.
To start the process of reducing my time on the computer and internet. First I want to try to visit this website only one time per day. I'll have to pick morning or evening. The only exception would be if I needed a recipe that was on here, I bookmark them. Also I will reduce my time on facebook to one time per day. I was thinking about adding my e-mail to that but, I think I will just leave my email open and if I see something important then I can check it but, otherwise I will not go thru all my messages except one time per day.

See you all tomorrow!

Feeling great on raw today.

It was hot today. I saw 90 on the thermometer at one point. The Husband has been telling me all about how good tempering the body with cold water is so after doing a little container gardening and getting myself completely filthy we went and jumped in the swimming hole that is down the street from us. It was freezing (it's a mountain stream so it's freezing even in August) but did feel good afterwards. And I'm at least a little bit cleaner.

I had pretty much a liquid diet today with just a few bananas for breakfast and then later a carrot-apple-parsley-ginger-beet juice followed by about 1/2 of The Husband's green juice - also known as a sip followed by a "HEY!" from him to which I responded we could always get another. I don't know why he puts up with me.

Then I had a big glass of O.J. followed by a green smoothie (with dandelion greens that The Husband picked from the yard!!), followed by some tomato basil soup (I am loving how simple and delicious it is) with rosemary quackers from One Lucky Duck, followed by a cacao-coconut shake (my daily indulgence on the weekends!!). I felt like I had a water balloon in my stomach after all that.

Oh, and we saw a bumper sticker for "Nature's First Law - www.rawfood.com" on a car parked here in town. Not surprising that there would be raw foodists here in Woodstock - I think there was even a raw food restaurant here at one point but it was gone by the time we got our house up here last summer - but still fun to see!

bagalamukhi - Good job ignoring the devil on your shoulder! Sleep can help so many things like that :)

Today I showed up at the coop to meet some friends for a hike and they had some raw fudge for sale, which they only do once in a blue moon! So I had a piece of that, then strawberries and some great sandwiches my friend made with raw onion bread, veggies and avocado mayo. Had some collard greens and cabbage on it, but haven't had a green smoothie! I'm way too full at this point, I ate an avocado and then 2 big bowls of pico de gallo and some guacamole at my friend's house. Not usually away from home so much but have been the past two days.

I went to Chicago over the weekend & ate @ a raw food restaraunt "Cousins" it was REALLY good! HOWEVER, I've been eating so light that I feel like crap from the food I ate yesterday. Alot of foods with nuts which I haven't eaten in at least over a month. I really never eat full out dishes where nuts & oils & dehydrating are involved so I think my stomach is in shock. But I did feel AMAZING for a couple hours after I ate it. It was like I had a HUGE burst of energy!

B/C of yesterday today I just ate a small bowl of fruit for breakfast & a greens & bananas smoothie for lunch & that's it. My stomach's pretty tore up. I knew it liked simple, this just goes to show me that :)

SO glad to continue this thread!!!!
Keep it up everyone :)
