View Full Version : Bacon Why Not Question
I haven't made the bacon why not in over 4 yrs (didn't stick to raw that time) But I 'm going to start some as soon as my zuchinni chips are done. I'm wondering though, it's really oily when they're done, has anyone ever tried cutting the amount of oil from 3/4 cup to maybe 2/3 or 1/2? Thanks for your input.
I found an old thread about it, and it seems others have cut down the oil, so I'm going to use maybe 1/3 cup.

I just made raw bacon last weekend. Not sure what recipe you're using, but I totally reduced the oil in the recipe that I used and it worked fine. In fact, it was still too oily for my taste at the end.

I'm not sure what bacon recipe you are using ... I have one I found on goneraw ... it called for 3/4 oil ... I reduced it to a tad less than 1/4 cup -- still need to blot the finished 'bacon' with paper towels. Came out fine tho.
