Well, I thought I would just drop a line to say "Hello" and respect the community here by introducing myself.

I live in Newberg Oregon and have been a Vegetarian for about a year and would like to move into a healthier lifestyle... i.e. Raw.

I currently juice, green, and am finally deciding to get serious about losing weight.

I stumbled onto this site by accident and found the reading here very inspirational and "real". I look forward to learning more and possibly offering my insights/lessons to help others who also find this site.

Wishing everyone a healthy life,
Dennis ;)

Welcome Dennis!

I replied to your bread post as well. RFT is a great place to find support and ideas - so glad you found us.

Thank you... I am going to take this slowly because I don't want to get discouraged.

Right now I am really enjoying juicing greens. I can't believe how tasty it turned out to be... I juice Wheat Grass, Celery, Kale, Spinach and Swiss Chard and it turns out really good. :)

I think I might be able to make a Raw change after all.

Yep... I've been juicing off and on for years, but I've recently decided to take it up again and tried Wheat Grass juice and really liked it.

I now have 6 trays of grass growing and I use a little with my other Greens... I currently use a Healthy Juicer (http://www.healthyjuicer.com/) I found at the Goodwill for $2. It cost $45 new and does a pretty good job on greens..

Can't wait to get my new juicer, Hurom Slow Juicer (http://www.slowjuicer.com/hurom-slow-juicer.html), but it's back ordered and I'll have to wait about a week or two before I get it. :(

I've never green juiced before and thought it would taste nasty, but was I ever surprised. It is really good... and believe it not, I can tell a difference in my concentration and energy level since I've started juicing 2 times a day. Currently I'm only drinking about 2 oz at a time and really like it.

Take care,
Dennis
