YOU GUYS!!!!! :D
My Darling Darling Sweet Hubby is FINALLY GOING ***RAW*** WITH ME!!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEE!!!!
He told me earlier today!!! Guess it was the Great Day Houston Show that made him realize how SERIOUS I am about this lifestyle!!! His only concern is that he doesn't want to lose weight, so I will have to make sure that I put RAW Fats in his diet and keep his weight up. But, I am SOOOOOOOO excited about this!!!
He did about a month of RAW with me before and it was FABULOUS!!! Not having to cook anymore for him will be SUCH a blessing for me!!!
I'm pretty confident about being RAW myself, but I'm a little "scared" though... I'm happy about his decision, but I wonder... Can I live up to making RAW For my entire family on a full time basis? (gulp...) I think I can...I mean, I honestly hope I can keep up with them. Sure, I can make myself something...even the kids will eat whatever I eat... But Hubby? I'm nervous...I REALLY am!!! :o I want more than anything for him to continue to eat this way!!! Maybe it's silly or maybe I'm worried about nothing, but I'm still nervous!!!

HUGE !!!! Congrats!!!
Don't be silly and worried. He did not decide this on a lark or to make you feel good. He has had a taste of it and if he was not convinced, he would not have said so otherwise....unless there was some other incentive.
Do what you always have been doing and keep making yummy and good-for you-food!
I would also give him time to adjust as well. Allow for some cooked foods, but making sure that they are good things like grains...quinoa, beans and other things, but not one of those new KFC fried chicken sandwiches (blech...can't even imagine)
Best!

Renee,
I showed my SAD husband your video the other day and he loved it. This morning, I told him your husband went raw. He laughed at me and said, "Don't get any ideas!"
So I'll keep making him a Green Smoothie every morning and pray it grows into something more over time . . . A girl can dream, right?

Renee that is wonderful news! How exciting for you. I TOTALLY understand your anxiety over making raw for your whole family though especially your hubby. I would love to have my hubby go all raw but I don't think that he ever will. He is so picky and most of the raw food that I make he doesn't like. He odesn't really give them a chance. Or he likes it but then is hungry and doesn't want more. He is just very picky. And trying to make him food that I think he will like is so stressful for me. Yes I wish he would eat raw. Then there wouldn't be all this SAD food floating around the house tempting me in times of weakness. But it is a hard thing. Anyways, I understand your concerns.
Good luck and I wish you all the best :)

that's wonderful!!! making seperate meals can be difficult. Good for him though. Now you can be a 'raw couple'. hopefully, he'll be able to go to some of your setups with you. What an inspiration!!! AND...many men are great cooks so, look out...he may take over the kitchen!

I admit it, I'm jealous. But, then, I'm married to the great white hunter, he won't even go veggie, much less raw. I envy women who sleep with men who smell sweet and vegan.

So happy for you both, Renee! I always appreciate you writing about the foods you make, so I hope you'll keep posting your meals you serve your husband and his reactions to them.

Hi everyone!!!
Just wanted to give you an update on my Hubby's progress!!! So far, he's EXTREMELY HIGH RAW!!! :) I'm so THRILLED about that! He's doing wonderfully....and I DON'T HAVE TO COOK!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!
He's not 100%, but I'm fine with that!!! The only thing he has eaten "cooked" is Pita Bread (I have been making him RAW Pita Sandwiches to go for lunch: Pita Bread stuffed with Marinated Veggies including Avacado or Pate....my RAW ones just didn't hold up well when he took it for lunch...) and he wanted some Veggie Soup with I did make yesterday (but I left all of the veggies crunchy and didn't "cook" the life out of them...just let it simmer on low heat).... Other than that, this week we had Alissa's Enchaladas, Calzone, Salads, leftovers from a RAW Demo I did last week, and Green Smoothies by the BUCKET FULL!!!!!
My kids are doing GREAT too!!!! You know, the other day I went to the Grocery store and, just knowing I didn't have to go down the "Processed Food Isles" made me giggle with excitement!!!!! :D
There's NO turning back now!!!! :)

Life is good for you and yours Renee and I am so excited for you.
I understand your anxiety though. My husband is like "IamLoved"'s - pretty picky and getting worse as he ages.
Just don't worry about it or make issues about it at all. Look how far you've come and just never look back. You managed cooking SAD food for him before and he will never likely go all the way back to SAD food with such a fabulous raw chef for a wife!:D

Renee, as you know, you are so fortunate to have a rawkin husband now. You had one who ate cooked.
Some women that have raw husbands might not even realize the gift it is.
Count the blessings daily because it rocks!
My new raw peeps I coach (since January) are in it together from day one. He is the chef of the house (his kitchen name is Margerit..pronounced mar-ger-it hahaha) and it is such a blessing.
He does it all. She, the wife, is the cleaner uppper. She cleans it all up. Bey she loves no grease n scouring now...hahaha.
He has lost almost forty pounds since January. They do high raw and we are gardening together and will get greener n greener as our produce comes on more.
Love those raw husbands I tell you.
pssst, if u dont have one, have them taste everything you make, it works!

So true, and I didn't even realize it until recently. I'm very thankful, because I definitely couldn't do it if I was the only one in the house eating raw. Luckily, my husband is just as into eating raw as I am.
Congrats Renee! Keep up the good work. :D

This is belated, but congratulations! Wow, what a huge blessing to know that he's enjoying the benefits of raw with you, and going to live a healthier life. And he is so lucky to have you making his food! My gosh! I'd love to try some. :D
I worry about my SAD fiance. He's making steak tonight, as a matter of fact. I wouldn't mind that so much if I could get him off of grains, and find something - anything - green that he liked. Phooey.
