SO excited. Well, I am NOT excited about the five hour drive to get there., but that is Montana for you. I was hoping that my fellow Montanan, Season, whom I met here, would also get to go and she and I would finally meet in person, but that was not to be. So it looks like it will be me and my daughter. Silly me, I am just as excited about the potluck as I am the talk! I plan to make a black cherry/brownie dessert and onion bread and nacho dip, plus a salad of some kind, maybe the broccoli one that Renee demonstrated. It's next Tuesday and I have to work 3 days between now and then.

Wow Katch - that IS exciting!! Hey - I would be excited too to go to a potluck! We're trying to get them going here in our town...

And a 5 hour drive... okay, maybe I should girl up and start attending events in Seattle then. If you can do it, so can I!

Are all the recipes you're taking in Alissa's book?

Have a GREAT time!! *Ü*

Hi Katch ~ I looked in Alissa's book and didn't see the recipes of the items you're planning to make. Can you point me to where I could get those please? Thanks in advance! *Ü*

Hoot hoot Kath! Happy trip!

I am going to see Brian as well. It is about 40 mins from here at a very small shop that has some raw selections. My new raw peeps are taking me as a treat! Nice huh?

Very nice! Someone else here just got to hear him in San Deigo. The man is getting around!

I just finished making all the food I am taking. An Asian Broccoli salad with garlic ginger dressing. Onion Crackers with Nacho dip. I made a variation of Carmella's Bliss-ful Blueberry Cheesecake. I made a brownie layer using the Raw Priestess recipe with a little less dates so it would be a little crumblier, and then I used black cherries instead of blueberries and left some whole black cherries in it. I have a feeling it will be amazing!

5-hour drive? Yikes!

You should just get on a plane and come to the potluck at my house LOL!

We are having the Raw chef from Google this month - can you imagine working for a company that actually has a RAW CHEF on the premises -- and all the food is FREE!!!!

Drive safely - and bring back pics if you can.

I can't believe I had to miss this. For us this was a somewhat rare occurrence...not too many raw folks around us. Your food contributions sound terrific as usual. Did you meet lots of like minded folks? Please give me a call and tell me alllll about it:) We WILL get together...when it quits snowing!

Hi, guys! Well, what was supposed to be an overnight trip turned into a three night stay due to an unusually bad spring storm messing up all three passes that lead from Kalispell to Great Falls. Snow and ice, blowing and drifting, high wind warnings, reduced visibility. So my mom got some unexpected company for two nights!

The potluck and talk were awesome. And there was a huge turnout, at least 200 people! Too much food to try everything. My dishes got all eaten up.

As a result of the talk, I am going to start wheatgrass, so I am in the market for a juicer. I am also going to be a lot more concientious about sprouting my seeds and nuts before using them, and I am truly going to up my consumption of sprouts. I just have to get my kitchen set up for doing all this.

Awesome Kath. I want to add more wheatgrass to my plan. I have four kinds of sprouts sprouting as well as I am making rejuvelac! Hip hip hooooray.

I am thrilled you had a mini vacation...?..hahahaha Glad you got away and heard Brian speak! Bravo on empty dishes!

Did you take any photos? I would love to see what a 200-person raw potluck looks like (we usually have 35 or 40)

What was the best dish you tried?

C'mon - give me a vicarious thrill!

Well we forgot to take the camera! The best I tried was a layered salad with avocado and peas and red onion. Best dessert was a mango cheesecake. Gotta find that recipe!
