Hi peeps,

I'm T and I have been on a raw food diet on and off for over a year I have just recently in the last two months knuckled down on sticking to the lifestyle and have been really enjoying it.

I read Tony Gonzalez's book "The All-Pro Diet" (Along with two Tosca Reno books) and they have really helped me out alot due to the fact that I don't have to eat only fruits & vegetables, I'm a big guy and being able to eat free range chicken, Bison, etc.. helps to keep (and add) muscle.

I am looking out for recipes that are short on the wallet but long on this outstanding way to live.

I hope to be able to contribute to the forum in a positive way (as if there's any other : )

Anyway take care...

Two things ~ first, this is a raw VEGAN site so, we don't discuss or encourage folk to eat dead animal carcasses here. Please read the rules for posting and Mission Statement.

Secondly, your statement ~
.... I don't have to eat only fruits & vegetables, I'm a big guy and being able to eat free range chicken, Bison, etc.. helps to keep (and add) muscle. is inaccurate. Of course, you CAN eat anything you want yet, many of us keep and add muscle on vegetarian as well as raw vegan diets. One doesn't need to eat critters.

If you get Alissa's book, you'll see she's been a body builder for most of her life and raw vegan for a large part of it. Since this site is base on her book and findings, I suggest you get her book and dvd's. You're be reading a whole NEW concept on being healthy.

btw ~ you're eating raw chicken? Not the best idea I've heard. GREAT way to contract salmonella.

Two quick things right back at you.... 1st the overall smugness of your post is neither warranted or appreciated, from the posts I've read here the overall vibe is one of tolerance and decency and if my eating of hormone free, grass fed, free range "critters" as you put it offends you they attach the name with the post (mine being Tman357) simply don't read it, also I posted this in April and you throw this reply out end of Oct??

And second, I have Alissa's book, I also have read Tony Gonzalez's book and numerous others.... I believe looking at something from more than one perspective is more beneficial than taking one opinion as gospel (I could be wrong here) I got the idea from reading other peoples posts that clean eating and not just vegan was accepted on the board. Bottom line is this post wasn't meant to offend anyone and to be quite honest the fact that it took you so long to attack it with the amount of posts on your acct suggests to me that you were probably bored when hitting this, If not I apologize.

It doesn't offend me in the least. As I stated, you might wish to read the "Rules for Posting" and the Mission Statement. This is a raw VEGAN forum.

also I posted this in April and you throw this reply out end of Oct?? Only because I clicked on Quick Links and yours was up there due to the fact that others also responded recently.

I believe looking at something from more than one perspective is more beneficial than taking one opinion as gospel You can "believe" what you want... yet, this is about respecting the creator of this forum who is paying for it and following HER reasons and understanding for creating this in support of those who wish to be raw VEGAN.

I got the idea from reading other peoples posts that clean eating and not just vegan was accepted on the board. You are mistaken.

Bottom line is this post wasn't meant to offend anyone and to be quite honest the fact that it took you so long to attack it with the amount of posts on your acct suggests to me that you were probably bored when hitting this, If not I apologize.Oh no, not bored. NEVER bored AND, I didn't attack. Simply stated what is ~ on THIS board.

O.k, the other posters didn't respond recently either yet, for some reason, your post was right up at the top of the list! I didn't look at the date of posting.

O.k., my bad... I saw you asking for "clean gravy" which to me didn't mean "raw VEGAN gravy" so, I looked at your other posts and found the one below.

Still, a raw vegan board! Is what it is! :)

I am not going to break your post apart or anything else that pushes this dumb... I don't know, argument? Any further... The most significant part of your post is below and is the part I will comment on....

this is about respecting the creator of this forum

It should be completely obvious to anyone who has read this post (you included) that I meant absolutely NO disrespect in ANYTHING that the first post contained, and I believe that's why up until now there has been no hostility directed to it.. I have an enormous amount of respect for Alissa and the knowledge she's dropped on me in her book and the one dvd I have seen.

Not too sure about your need to be so elite and look down your nose at me but to be honest I really don't want to know the reasoning behind it, I won't be responding to this situtation any further so last word is all yours .

Take care and stay cool
