Well, since no one has yet to start this tread I decided to. Excited to realize that I will be finishing the month tomorrow and was 100% raw the entire time. It took me a few tries over the last year to have it finally stick. I am currently on a juice fast so fresh juice and water is all I am having today.
Have a great raw day everyone and I hope to see you back on May 1st.
Go Kgarrett! I can't wait til I can say I've been totally raw for a month!!! That's awesome :)
I am feeling so much better after that horrible migraine yesterday. I have no idea what brought it on, but it very well may have been detox. I hate to attribute everything to detox though. It could have been stress over the marathon, but I'm not particularly stressed about it, so who knows!
I had some awful cravings last night and dreamed about eating peanut butter! Not even the good stuff, the junky skippy stuff. Weird! Feeling better after lots of bananas this morning as usual :)
B: 5 bananas
L: I have bananas and 2 apples here at work so I'll eat what I feel like eating
D: green smoothie w/ 2 bananas, frozen strawberries & mango, kale and water. Also either a mango or some non-sweet fruit like a tomato, cucumber & bell pepper salad.
No exercise today except walking, I'm tapering! Have a lovely day!

Hey all, happy day almost 30!
The Husband and I just got up to Woodstock and I haven't eaten anything yet today. Did have some coconut water after yoga this morning but I'm starving!!
I soaked some sunflower seeds so I'm going to make some mock tuna to have with lettuce and onion bread in a bit. And there's this store up here that has the best fresh squeezed orange juice ever so I'm going to get some of that as well.
Yum. Raw is fun. I can't wait to see how I look and feel in 5 years if I can stick with it. Aside from the occasional cravings it does feel like it's getting easier and feels like it's totally sustainable.

I woke up tired for starters......so hard to skip the unmentionable that begins with letter "C"!!!
I went for a walk though - a bit slower than yesterday's.
Breakfast: 16oz fresh orange juice blended with 1lb kiwi.
Lunch: 1 314 lb bananas (nine small) blended with 8oz romaine.
Nope, didn't like either of these much. Sigh.:(
But my "plumbing" is working so well! 4 times yesterday! And twice already today and it's only noonish. Sorry TMI, but it's important. I also had no pain in my legs from those 2 walks I had yesterday! I will be watching to see if I have any pain tomorrow. Also my caffeine withdrawal headache isn't nearly as bad this time around. But I am feeling very vulnerable and very tempted to quit again. I know what my problem is - I always want this to be EASY - and it never is.
Hi to you all and have a happy, healthy day.:)

Hello raw footers! I can't believe the 30 day challenge is almost up. It's been fun. How is everyone doing? I haven't been posting because I'm not very good at the computer but I have stuck with the challenge.
Hey, does anyone else have the problem where if you eat a bunch of sunflower seeds then your stomach hurts? I do. Other foods seem to be fine
:eek::confused:

Well, I went for a 2nd walk just before supper and it felt good. I went faster than this morning and the weather was lovely. I was glad I forced myself.
Supper: Another smoothie: lots of pineapple, spinach, celery and 1 red bell pepper.
Done for the day.
Meant to add that my skin has stopped itching. I have never had exzema but I thought that maybe I was getting it - this stopped a couple of days ago and I hadn't really noticed it until today. And I haven't any pain in my joints or muscles yet. Wow! Just a bit blue and a bit tired.
Night dear rawbies.:)

Hey guys, we are having a BLIZZARD today and were without power for most of the morning. Thank God for a fireplace and hot tea. We had a fun morning huddled in front of the fire reading and talking. I was mightily tempted to eat some hot food on this cold day (something about a blizzard in April is colder than a blizzard in January) but I didn't give in.
B: No green smoothie due to no power, so I just had an apple and some almonds.
L: Raw Burrito and some Raw Priestess brownies
S: Nothing yet, will probably have some salad and maybe a green smoothie. I never had one yesterday either and I miss it.
My husband is on a business trip but he got snowed in 90 miles away....most of the roads around our town are closed due to the blizzard!

Islesgirl: It appears that you ate one 314 lb. banana! LOL
Katch: I admire your persistence, power outage and all. ...I'm hoping that by the time winter rolls around next year, raw will be easy for me, so I won't be tempted to bail out then.
B: Smoothie: Banana, red leaf lettuce, OJ. ...Not too good, but it was all I had left.
L: Another Smoothie: Banana, Kale, OJ
D: Salad: Mixed greens, avocado, onion, raisins, o/v
S: Smoothie: mixed berries, banana

So funny. We had a brief power outage here too thanks to some high winds. It made me realize how vital my appliances are to me at this stage. Luckily it was back on in time for me to make mock tuna for lunch.
We came so close to going to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. It all started with me looking over and saying don't you wish we could just go to gypsy wolf for dinner and then us reminiscing about all of our favorite restaurants in the area.... We held firm though. It was tough. Don't go by your favorite old places when you're hungry!
Wound up having some tomato and basil for dinner followed by some more mock tuna with lettuce on onion bread. I think I drank almost a half gallon of oj today. And some bananas and raw chocolate and Rae truffles.
I've got corn tortillas in the dehydrator now. Hoping to find a good mole recipe and make enchiladas tomorrow to celebrate the official day 30.

Went and bought some more Organic Peaches at Whole Foods, these peaches are so ripe and sweet!!!
4 Peaches
2 Oranges (sucked all the juice out, but didn't swallow the pulp, found out the hard way that I can't digest the outer part of the orange) :(
Chopped Salad with Arame Seaweed, Crunchy Sprouts, 1 Avocado, Celery, Cucumber, Red Bell Pepper, Sea Flakes, Nutritional Yeast
This wasn't a very big salad, but after I ate it, it really hurt my tummy, and put a lot of burning sensation in my stomach, and lower intestines. I wonder what the culprit was?
2 Peaches :D
