I am here and excited to be down 6 more pounds. I am still juice fasting this week. I am now down a total of 33 pounds since March 8th. Have a great raw day everyone. We are almost to the end of the month so keep going. My end date is actually June 5th because I am doing a 90 day with my sister so I will be joining in with the next raw challenge as well.

Morning all,

I'm sitting at my desk with a quarter of a big watermelon sitting chopped up in front of me.

I've got some marinated mushrooms and a a tub of mock salmon pate and some celery sticks here as well.

Will likely run out for some green smoothie ingredients later. Otherwise going to have the celery with mock salmon pate I think and mushrooms on the side.

The Husband is going to make some Aloo Paleek for dinner from Gabriel Cousen's recipe book (forget the name). I love Indian food so I'm look forward to start trying some raw indian recipes.

He's also making eggplant bacon so we can have BLTs for lunch tomorrow!!! I can't wait.

I'm loving Alissa's "eat whatever you want as long as it's raw" plan. I'm sure once I've stuck with this for awhile I'll want to refine my food combining and lighten up on all the dehydrated treats but for transitioning, it's really great. And onion bread is way better for me than pizza, fries, and mac & cheese.

Alright, today I've had some banana and raw chocolate pudding and a fruit smoothie I just made. Might have some raw cereal and/or salsa! Starting green smoothies again tomorrow morning. Y'all gonna stick around for the May challenge too?

Day 2 of my green smoothie fast and it is going well. Right now I am having a savory smoothie adapted from the Cream of Zucchini soup from Raw Freedom Community. Just left out the olive oil. Oh my it is so good. I had a blueberry banana kale smoothie for breakfast. I will have another fruit smoothie later. I loved what the scale said this morning. I have been running to the bathroom frequently!

Yep, Im in for May for sure!

Never did get any greens in me earlier but I did make a chocolate shake with banana, a handful of almonds, agave, water, and cacao. Also had two more bananas. The mock salmon was pretty good on celery. I'm not sure that it's make-it-again-good but certainly edible. Looking forward to the aloo pal eek the husband is making now. He's meticulously slicing each spinach leaf into long strips so it may be awhile :p

I think I need a cocnut shake to hold me over. Yep onto that now. I think I need to change my name to "the ravenous raw vegan".

Katy - your posts make me so hungry sometimes. I don't have much time to make recipes and there are no raw food places to eat nearby. I really want the eggplant bacon!!! I like the tuna pate (I don't know if it is the same recipe - mine is not alyssa's) on a nori roll.

I am def in for may!

Oh gosh, sorry Kristin! Hope I'm not making it harder for you. I find the food prep doesn't actually take very long at all. It's the planning that takes a long time cause it's all so new but definitely getting easier!

The mock tuna I made was from Rawvolution.

The eggplant bacon (that I found on this site) is good and super easy to make. Do you have a dehydrator? If anyone ever wants my meal plan and shopping list for the week i can email them to you. They're in spreadsheets cause I'm a total geek.

Ha I love it katy! Food plan spreadsheet, you should totally post it here as inspiration. I could see doing something geeky like that too :)

Oh Katy - don't be sorry. It makes me hungry for raw food:) I am just envious of all you are eating and I am hoping to start trying more recipes the longer I am raw. Right now I am more focused on weight loss and detoxing.

The spreadsheet is a great, great idea. I am so bad at planning ahead for recipes. Getting a chance to see how your shopping and planning would probably help those of us that just eat on the fly. Actually, I will be visiting my nutritionist on May 18th and talking about how to make sure I am getting all of my nutrients and I will have to learn to plan so seeing how you do it and what kinds of recipes you make would be helpful.

Oh - and I do have a dehydrator, a greenstar juicer and a vitamix - so I am good to go in the appliance area.

I was fasting during the day till about 4 this afternoon.
Then I was at Whole Foods, and decided I wanted some frozen fruit, so I bought a bag of frozen organic cherries, and ate the WHOLE bag :D

Tonight I had a green smoothie with Spinach, 1 1/2 mangos, 1 pear, 1 apple, frozen bananas, and chia.

I can't believe May is around the corner!! I'm loving this warm weather :)
