Sippin on banana smoothie w/ raw protein powder, wheat grass/ kelp/ maca powders
Snack will be mangos & grapes
Lunch will be smoothie w/ spinach/ sprouts & frozen fruit/ berries maybe
I'll probably have fruit after that for the rest of the day!
Have a GREAT day everyone :)
+1 to lodestar
Still detoxing or "healing" as I prefer to think of it...but my skin is looking clearer so hopefully this bout of detox is nearing its end. I got a little over 9 hours of sleep last night and I feel sooo much better this morning :)
B: 4 bananas with 2 T raw cacao powder
Work Snacks: going to pick up 4 more bananas at the fruit stand and also bring 2 apples and 3 clementines to be eaten throughout the day. More fruit too if needed, but that'll probably do it for me.
D: huuuuge salad w/ romaine, baby lettuce, carrots, tomato, half a yellow bell pepper, half a cucumber and a dollop of fresh guacamole!
S: more fruit if needed...all I want is mangoes so I may try to find a cheap one, I have a hard time paying $1 for a mango when I can get 4 bananas for the same amount of money, hence my copious amounts of bananas!
w/o: something after work, perhaps some yoga from the DVD I got yesterday, or a short (3 mile) run
Have a WONDERFUL day! This is our day!!

I've been in love with mangos too!!!!
& I know what you mean about bananas! I'll save a ton now that I'm using them in my smoothies!

Where do you guys find raw cacao powder? Did you have to order it? I can't find any in stores near me.
B: So far, some leftover guacamole
S/L: nuts, blackberries

Lodestar - yay! I agree.
Katie - rock on, that's a hardcore smoothie!
meow - agreed, and mangos and bananas apparently have the same amount of calories, so sometimes you gotta just get your calories somewhere you can afford to...
A New Me - I grind my own from cacao beans, which a lot of the co-ops around here have, and I'm pretty sure Whole Foods does too.
And me, it's about 8am and I'm going to bed. Random!
A New Me, I used to get a really good brand at my health food co-op in Vermont, it's called Navitas Naturals. The brand I have now is the Go Organic! brand and I get it at Whole Foods...but it's honestly not worth the money b/c it doesn't really taste like anything. I'm going to order Navitas Naturals online when this one runs out!

I purchase mine at raw from the farm. This is also where I get my almonds and sun dried tomatoes. I am so excited that my sister is visiting today and tomorrow. We are doing a 90 day raw challenge together and are going to do some planning and "cooking" this weekend.

All raw day here. It was my first day back at work after being off for surgery nearly 8 weeks. I did NOT want to go back to work, and I have a mild headache today as a result of feeling negative about it. Need to get my mind in a more positive mode.
B: Green smoothie of spinach, bananas, peaches, and strawberries.
Snack: Lara Bar with some tea.
L: Cheezey tomato and avocado soup. Carrot.
Snack: Lara bar and tea (I get so hungry at work! and cold!)
S: Nice salad
I just made a cheesecake for a potluck tomorrow. It is the Bliss-Full Blueberry Cheesecake from the Sunny Raw Kitchen. Holy Moly it is going to be delicious. It has a nut, coconut, date, and cacao crust, and a blueberry cashew, coconut oil, and cacao butter filling. Incredible.

13th day for me, and my hunger is crazy today. I've had a lot of cravings for junk or cooked food, but I didn't give in :D
2 Peaches
1 Banana
Smoothie with Spinach, Chia, Mango, Banana, Apple
Arame Seaweed, Sea Flakes, Crunchy Sprouts, 1 Avocado, Celery, 3 Bubbies Pickles, and MORE celery ;)
Avocado Lime Sherbet ( I ate A LOT of this)
About 2 TBSP Raw Honey
Raw Almond Butter (about 2 TBSP)
Raw Soaked Amonds (not sure how many)
I ate all of this tonight when we got home. I told you I was starving, and what's so bad is that I'm regretting eating that much. It's all sitting in my stomach, hurting, and boating. I don't know why I do that, I know what I'm in for. But, I felt like I was starving, and the only thing taking that edge off was the fatty foods. It was either that or grab cooked junk from the pantry or fridge.
I'm sure it will be a long night :(

katchmoleen - I recently had surgery too (herniated disk that just refused to go back in! lol), and am doing raw partly to help me recover faster and keep everything healthier from now on. Sorry you didn't want to go back to work, I hope you're able to bring more positive feelings to it and get back into the groove as comfortably as possible. I'll be doing that soon too :)
donnyandcathy - I have to make that lime sorbet! Yummmmm. Are some of the Bubbies pickles actually raw? I've always been a pickle fan. Where can I find em?
I had some fresh lemonade today with raw agave (the clear stuff is supposedly actually raw?) - I'm gonna try using date soak water next time.
Also, a ton of salsa with mango, strawberry, pineapple and tomato.
Some avocado cacao pudding mmmmmmm store bought but I'm gonna make my own with dates and carob once this is gone. And maybe young coconut instead of avocado - I bought 6 of em to make LEMON MERINGUE PIE with! But may have leftover meat for chocolate pudding. Oh man I think I have a sweet tooth.

Was feeling good but a little sleepy all day. Had two oranges for breakfast and then had a meeting for work. When I got back to the house where we're straying The Husband had just finished making guacamole so i had a bit of that on some leftover corn chips. Then we made some creamy miso soup and a green smoothie before heading to a friend's house in providence. The two of us shared those over the course of the afternoon.
Didn't really know what we were going to do for dinner so I started thinking about how Boston was only an hour away and maybe we should try grezzo!!
So we did it.:D There was no traffic and parking was a breeze and the food was amazing. It might even be better than pure food and wine. Yum. We had the gnocchi first and then the sliders and then the the lobster fettucini (this was the only thing I didn't absolutely love though it wasn't bad) and the marinated portabella. We had to get back to the house for the dog and cat so we got dessert to go. Ate the brownie Sunday in the car and we have cheesecake in the fridge. All the food was amazing. I give it every superlative you can think up. And the cool thing that we didn't even realize until we were at the restaurant was that it was day 30 for us. How awesome to end Alissa's 30 day challenge at here restaurant.

katy - Congratulations on your day 30! And how cool that you got to have it at Grezzo. I just looked at your raw album and now I'm hungry. What's in the spinach pakora? The meatloaf and mashed potatoes look fun! I remember making raw mashed potatoes years ago an loving them.

Thanks, kylarei. Here's the pakora recipe. http://pepitas.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/spinach-pakora/ My husband made it the other day but he pureed it all a bit too fine and it wasnt very good so be sure to just pulse it a bit in the cuisinart and leave the mixture chunky.
