What do Lentils taste like?

I was thinking about sprouting some lentils and I was wanting to know how they tasted.

In my opinion, lentils by themselves, kind of taste chalky. I usually put them in with a salad with some yummy dressing.:D

they are YUMMY! I usually add them to a salad too or on top of alfalfa sprouts & drizzle olive oil!

I have sprouted pink lentils. They had a nutty taste to me. Quite tasty with some freshly picked lettuce.
