Just came from Wegmans - I live near the anchor store where the Wegman family resides.

The juice bar is up and running! I have honestly never even seen a wheatgrass juicer like the one they have - it is h-u-g-e and definitely high budget!

They have been doing fresh citrus and green blends for about a year now, but the blends all have an apple cider base. (bleck.) But they are finally ready to start rolling out made-to-order juices.

The juice bar is now very close to being the final template to be implemented in other Wegmans stores. So if you are in the Northeast US and shop at Wegmans and you want your store to have a fresh juice bar, go in and ask when the juice bar like in the Pittsford, NY store will be opening in your store!:)

And ask them to carry more organic produce while you are talking to htem. I think that their organic choice is very disappointing.

And I TOTALLY agree about the organic selection. I don't even bother with them for produce unless in a pinch or I want something that is out of season. :o

I mostly just shop at the co-op or local markets for organic, but winters can be long here.......

I live so close to Pittsford Wegs! I'll have to go check this out.

As a bit of an aside - where else do you get organic produce? I've gotten as much as I can find at Wegs, but they were definitely still lacking in fruits and such. I know some of the local U-Pick places will be gearing up soon, but I'm totally ignorant of anywhere else, with a more permanent market type place, to go for things. Any suggestions welcome!!

Wegmans is awesome. When i was in the Army i used to tell people about how awesome Wegmans really is but no one believed me, Only people from Fort Drum knew. They always want to hear about these issues. As a Rochester native where th company started and family still lives believe me, they want to know.

Other than Whole Foods it's the only place I shop. I am shocked to hear everyone complain about the organic produce, other than Whole Foods it's the best organic produce selection in my area.
