Thanks for kind advice yesterday, y'all. :)
The outlook of all you positive people keeps me inspired.
kgarrett: yes--I am amazed at how little I need to drink water now. I really must have had a salty diet previously, as I would sometimes wake up parched in the middle of the night, if I hadn't had enough water. I agree that the 8x8oz recommendation is strictly for SAD eaters.
B: Smoothie: Kale, banana, strawberry

Happy Sunday all!
Brekkie - mango, banana, passion fruit, hemp oil and supergreens smoothie
Lunch - olives, avo, pepper, tomatoes
Snack - grapes, dates and a few raisins
Dinner -spinach, date and banana smoothie
Didn't eat much today but haven't been hungry. Am wondering why because baba's feeding constantly. Must be the quality of the food I'm eating.

Hey all,
Hope you've had a good weekend.
I spent the day making a meal plan for the week and organizing our kitchen. I've got onion bread and corn chips in the dehydrator now. I had Alissa's zippy tomato soup for dinner followed by some cinnamon chia seed pudding.
Yum, chia seed pudding is going to be a new staple around this house. It's so good!
We went to Quintessence for brunch yesterday and today. They have these amazing crepes stuffed with mango pudding and banana then topped with coconut cream, some sort of chocolate sauce and strawberries that The Husband got both times. I had fofu rancheros there today and yesterday some latkes with apple sauce. All good. We switched plates halfway through each meal so we both got to have the crepes and try new things.
Went to a wedding last night and it was kind of tough. The Husband was drooling over all the appetizers - I not so much as I've been veg for years and they were things like little lamb shanks - but he found us some fruit so we ate that during the cocktail hour (and a few too many glasses of wine!). I'd brought some goji berries and cashews in my purse. Salad during dinner was easy but we were still hungry so we wound up cracking a bit and eating some sauteed broccoli rabe. First cheat for both of us in 24 days but I don't think it's going to lead us astray.
I was having a tough time with raw on Friday and Saturday. My skin totally broke out and was a bit of a mess and I had crazy cravings.
I'm finding this happens when I don't spend enough time in the kitchen and have enough food on hand. We're lucky that we have a few raw restaurants in the city so if I haven't planned we can always go out but I lose my appreciation for the food when I'm not making it myself.
Anyway, feeling back on track and looking forward to all the good stuff I've got planned on the menu for the week!!

katy - hey you guys still did great, steamed veggies are way higher on the spectrum than other things that were there!
garrett - make it through the cookout?
Luckily I was at a raw catered dinner tonight. I think in the morning I just had a banana since I knew the dinner would be really filling. We had raw hamburgers with all raw ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce and mayonnaise. Very good. I helped make the kale, carrot, avocado and burdock salad with creamy dressing and we also had green juice and a cookie.
And raw doritos made with kale chips that were out of this world! I'm going to be trying to figure out how to make them this week!
Also have some buckwheat soaking so I can make cookies tomorrow - maybe with pieces of cranberry and walnut in them. Tomorrow I'll be going to a lecture about detoxing with another raw catered dinner so I look forward to some new taste sensations!
Rough emotions again today but I'm dealing fairly well, working with my thoughts instead of believing them, and observing my emotions without getting wrapped up in them.

Thanks, kylarei.
Yum, I'm drooling over the burger and chips. You'll have to post the recipe when you figure them out. Otherwise I'm in danger of going out and getting some Doritos right about now :)
Sorry you're having a tough time emotionally but it sounds like you're handling well.

kylarei - Thanks for asking - yes the cookout went great! I didn't even have to try not to eat the cooked food. I just had my cole slaw that I made and some zucchini hummus with carrots and that was more than enough for me!

katy - I do know the "doritos" were made with dehydrated kale marinated in blended cashew, onion powder, salt, and chili and/or mustard powder. I couldn't believe that something so simple tasted so amazing! No idea what the burger recipe is though.
kgarrett - Nice, that sounds way tastier than cooked stuff anyway! Good job :)
