I want to point out that this is just my opinion.
I think that you should allow yourself to have a cooked meal in the evenings for a while as long as it is only steamed vegies.
That way when you go 100% in a few weeks time if you slip you will only slip to a plate of steamed vegies.
It is harder for people to go straight from junk to raw as when they slip they have further to fall and it does more harm.
I went 100% immediately but I had been vegan for many years so my slips were just slight ones.

jelloo everone:)
Welcome here smartwater, jello is not a raw food or of even vegetable origin, therefore it's highly not recommended to consume it.:D:p

Hi, welcome I am new too. I am a transiting carnivore to vegetarian, to vegan to raw food. I know I have a long way to go but, I am so excited about the journey. I am taking this journey one day at a time and really listening to my body. I hope to learn a lot for this wonderful group of people and make some friends along the way. All best to you on this journey. Take care. :)

Welcome! For some people, going "cold turkey" is best and for others, doing it gradually is so much easier. My journey started before I even heard about raw foods. About 9 years ago I stopped eating red meat, then I stopped eating other meats and started experimenting with fish. I never really liked fish in the first place so it was easy to give that up too. I became vegetarian about 4 years ago. I started experimenting with raw about 6 years ago. I tried to go 100% and I didn't have enough knowledge or equipment and support so it failed and back to eating crap! So...I began to do more research and oddly enough for birthday and Christmas presents, my cooked foods family would give me raw recipe books! Now if that wasn't a sign, I don't know that is!!;) So I started researching more on the web and made recipes and started limiting the non raw foods that I would buy in the grocery store. I found that the less I had in the house, the less I was tempted to eat. I starting having a raw breakfast, cooked lunch and then raw dinner or I would have a raw breakfast, lunch and cooked dinner. Slowly, I started adding in more raw in that one meal and now I'm 90% raw. Sorry for the long story. I just want to let you know that you are not alone and you CAN do it!:)

Thanks Christina, I like the story. That’s what am trying to do now take it slowly, I can’t do the cold turkey… am not a fan of red meat so that’s not a problem to stop, but the chicken just a little problem but I’ll get there.. thank goodness I found u guys because i was ready to give up :P. i didn’t really have any body to do this with I told my family about it and they just look at me like whatever. I had a friend who was doing it but kind a stop and he is the one who told me about it…. so a couple of days ago I was surfing the web and somehow I bump into this site and I was like wow this is cool and funny at the same time, right when I was ready to give up.. Everybody trying to help out everyone & so on.. so am not alone anymore I can do this… now am trying to get my friend back to doing it and my mom is willing to do it to.. so this is cool… well talk to u soon oh one more thing lol am a big chocoholic, so I would have to stop eating chocolate to right, is there a such thing of chocolate being include with raw food lol even if its organic… sorry for the dum dum ? ok now take care
