Anyone experience signs and symptoms of cleansing or detox due to OP

Also I would love to hear your testimonials of things you saw healing or went away completely due to the oil pulling.

Thank you and luv, in advance.

I have posted my results before but I will repeat it. I developed a loose tooth and went to the dentist and asked him to save it and he said that he could not and that it would have fallen out by mid january.
Then I found 2 others loose. I started oil pulling and within 2 weeks I noticed that my teeth were firmer. I still have them.

No signs or symptoms of detox. I don't believe it "draws toxins from the body". I do believe it removes toxins from and cleanses the mouth. It makes my gums feel good and improves my complexion. If I stop oil pulling for a few days I notice the difference and get right back to it. :)

What is oil pulling? My partner is going to have three teeth pulled next week, and he's already had 4 or so teeth pulled in the last two years! Maybe this could save him from needing dentures soon?

Which oil do you use, and do you really hold it in your mouth and swish for
20 minutes?
I have some Olive Oil, and Grapeseed Oil that I could use.
Is it best to do this first thing in the morning?
Thanks!

Best oils to use are sesame seed oil (light, not dark) or sunflower...People tend to use coconut oil, because I guess it tastes better, but if you are going to do something, do it right!

You have to do it in the morning, first thing, before any food or drink (not even water)...if you want to repeat during the day, or maybe best, before bed, again, it has to be I think 3 hours after your last meal and 1 hour after your last drink.

I am using sunflower oil right now but I normally use safflower. The bottle of sunflower was twice the size for the same price.
It is more important that you buy it organic and cold pressed and that it comes in a dark bottle than which type it is.
The website has reports from people using every type of oil.

I've started oil pulling again, it's been two days. I use cold pressed sesame oil.

Will report back with any results.

need to get some sesame but I've been using coconut each am. It's like I'm addicted to it. I HAVE to have it in the am. It seems to wake me up and I feel so much better the entire day.
I think it helps pms. I started recently and feel very good.

Where do you get raw sesame oil? I couldn't find it at WF... And I am very curious about trying OP..

The sesame oil I use is not raw. According to the oil pulling website I read, one does not have to use raw oil. Cold-pressed oil is good enough. The website I read says that even refined sesame oil works. The oil just pulls toxins. You don't take the oil into your body.

I have been doing OP for three weeks with Spectrum organic expressor-pressed sesame oil. The sesame oil turns whitish each time. So I figure it is working.

I use coconut oil because it is a miracle oil. It is anti bacterial, anti fungal and this space wont allow me to write all the properties of coconut oil.

I never matter about taste, its the treasure I go for. CO is that for me.
Hmmmm who says what is "doing it right?" Doing it right is what is right for each person individually. I do it right. hooty hoot hoot

I've been oil pulling for the last two months straight, with Coconut Oil. I tried using sesame, but it looked like it was making my teeth yellow!

I haven't noticed a huge difference, though my teeth do look clean and white. I just love the morning practice of swishing. It feels good. :)

I tried the oil pulling with the raw cold pressed sesame oild for a few weeks - can't say I noticed much and then I stopped and never went back.

It was a huge pain in the but, and could cause lip wrinkles from all that swishing!

you are kidding about the wrinkles right?

so do you try not to concentrate so that you never have to crinkle your forehead?

hehe

lip wrinkles from all that swishing!

Funny you should bring that up. :p I have not swished for about a week now. Stopped after I was looking in the mirror during swishing and saw all the wrinkles it was making on my face.

This week I started using a richer face cream, and am brushing my teeth with baking soda and a few drops of tea tree oil. The tea tree oil seems to be improving my gums even more than the sesame oil.

I'm guessing you are still young. :p;) When you are my age you definitely do not want to crinkle anything! It really comes home to you the first time you wake up in the morning with a crease on your face and it takes hours to go away. You just know if you are not careful, someday it will be there and not go away.

Interesting that you didn't notice much.. Maybe your teeth/gums were in good shape already?

WOW really? Not just dental but your body, in general? How many times a day do you do it? So far, I have only done OP in the morning..

Is it a problem to do oil pulling, when I have amalgam fillings?

I want to post an update.
My brother has been treated for oral cancer and went through mainstream radiotherapy.
He was telling me about 3 or 4 weeks ago about the fact that his teeth had loosened and that they had told him on his last check up that they would have to glue them together if they did not improve. I told him about oil pulling and downloaded some instructions for him.
He had his next check up only about 2 weeks later and while he was not told that the problem had improved he said that he detected far less negativity in the doctors tone. She then told him that she noticed a change in the moisture level in his mouth. It was greatly improved. She seemed surprised.
He is waiting for the next visit and if there is further improvement then he is going to show her the literature that I downloaded.
We may end up with all oral cancer patients in this locality oil pulling.
