How is everyone doing? I'm up super early on a Saturday so I thought I'd start it!

Today will be most likely
a couple mangos/ grapes/ plums/ pears/ melons/ oranges/ pinapple

I'm gonna try & add spinach & sprouts to my smoothie today to get those greens in.

I feel awesome! How bout ya'll? I don't weigh, but I think my pants are fitting loser since I started this fasting & cleansing back in the later part of February, which would put me @ about 1 month now.

I always feel really cleansed & lighter when I eat fruit & veggies---cleanses my colon :)

Oops.. Looks like I started a day's thread at the same time as Katie's... How do we delete?:rolleyes:

It's hard to even feel like eating lately. I'm thinking I have to be more of a raw pig if I'm going to jump start more weight loss, and get my energy going.

I'm flabbergasted reading about some here eating like 6 bananas, 2 green smoothies, a bunch of grapes, 2 apples, etc. etc... Can't I just take a pill? :p

B: Smoothie: Kale, banana, pineapple -- will down a double order of it today...
S: cashews, raisins
S: homemade raw bar
D: Smoothie: banana, strawberry, spirulina

A New Me, if your body isn't hungry pay attention to that...it could want to be fasting more & not working as hard to clean anything out or work on healing. It will all balance out eventually.

Do you work out? Cause that helps increase your appetite too. Just a thought!

Good morning! Day 2 for me :)

A New Me, I agree with Katie in that if you're not hungry, your body may simply be asking for a short break from food. Listen to your hunger signals!

I haven't had anything yet, not hungry yet but the plan for the day is...

-a couple apples/clementines
-salad w/ baby lettuce, romaine, carrots, cucumber, tomato, red pepper, EVOO & balsamic...wanted half an avo instead of EVOO but none of mine are ripe yet!
-banana or 2
w/o: cross training @ the gym, probably 40ish mins. arc trainer, plus the usual walking to/from work & dog walks
-green smoothie w/ 2 bananas, kale, mangoes, strawberries & water

I'm off to make that lunch salad and head to work!

enjoying this month so much. eating well. feeling great. mild weird unusual breakout on chin. feeling lighter inside and it feels perfect for this spring weather. ccc

That's such a great feeling isn't it?! To be lighter, especially for the spring!

So like I've said many times before, all I've been eating is fruit cause that's what my body is craving & I feel lighter/ cleaner & just all around great! In the winter my body craved heavier green smoothies with frozen bananas & all types of green powders with ground flax. It's just interesting to me when we listen to our bodies & give it what it wants, it just all makes sense :)

I dont know this challenge and not sure I am in...hahaha
I am loving green juice today. My body wants to fast and FAST!

Love the lighter airier(?) float away kind of feeling. Heavy, loaded(haha) and bloaded, a notta workin fo moe!

We will all be looking like lodestars balloons soon..up up n away!

been kind of off schedule for a few days...couple slip ups

-big green smoothie: spinach/mango/pineapple/water
-big salad: organic spring mix/half a cucumber/avocado/basil-lime-dulse + 1 tsp EVOO

going to make some onion dip to eat with carrots, and a fruit salad with strawberries, mango and banana to bring to my performance tonight for dinner

Hi All,

Today thus far:

Breakfast - apple and dates w/ almond butter

Lunch - cucumber slices with mash avocado, onion, lemon, dill & pepper (again, so tasty!)

Young coconut and frozen strawberry smoothie

more dates w/ almond butter

Tonight I think we're going out to eat at the little italian place down the road, so I'll be ordering a large salad. I hope the waiter is a little more accommodating this time. Last time he ignored my request for additional fresh veges on the salad and just gave me their house salad with a lot of subtractions but with the same price. I think I will be more vocal.

Good day today - thanks for all the congrats yesterday:)

Green Smoothy - breakfast and lunch
dinner - tuna pate on nori rolls - this recipe is a first for me and I was surprised that I liked it!

I am trying to be better about drinking enough water and have done better the last couple of days. Does anyone else not get as thirsty because there is so much liquid in their foods alreay?

Yesterday i had:

B: Smoothie: dandelion+bananas
S: Salad: Carrot+pepper+tomatoes
L: Dates+figs+cranberries+indian nuts: mixed
D: One large smoothie with bananas+oranges+mango= Njami :)

New Me - I'm also not very hungry now that I'm eating raw. I'm really glad it works out that way so I don't end up craving food and not having enough on hand.

I love seeing what everyone ate, gets me inspired for tomorrow!

I used to start binge eating again whenever tough emotions came up. But this time I'm committing to sitting with the emotions, and my contemplative education class is helping immensely with that.

Some anxieties and urges to eat junk have already come up in the last couple days, but I've reminded myself about posting my progress and that reminded me of my goals, so I'm still doing well. I brought fruit salad and buckwheat-date cookie things with me and didn't eat any free food at my band's show or have any drinks when we went out dancing after. We went to a 24 hour mexican restaurant and I had lettuce, pico de gallo and fresh guacamole. Yum!

Oh yeah, I also had some raw Soul chocolate bar.

lodestar and lovenlife - yay for the light feeling! I'm with ya, and it is perfect for the upcoming spring.

Katie - inspiring to hear about your summer vs. winter cravings. I've never been raw long enough to see how winters go but that sounds reasonable, especially in Oregon where I am.

kgarret - yep, I rarely get thirsty when eating enough fruit. I don't think we need much water if we get it from our food. The 8 glasses a day rule is for those people who live on bread and meat and coffee! Ha!

Not hungry today...

Brekkie -apple and banana
Lunch - strawberries, bana, passion fruit, hemp oil and tsp supergreens smoothie
Dinner - small bowl avo, pepper, chilli olives and baby plum tomatoes

Late to bed, first time in ages cos of baba. Long day, v little food... haven't been hungry though... I agree I just need to listen to my body.
