Probably sounds weird...but it's like...say you tell someone they can't have bananas for a month...what will they want? Nothing but bananas!

So was the way with me. I thought I had to be 100%. And I failed every time I tried. Every time. And then my attitude changed. I realized I didn't have to be 100%. And that's when I became a 100%.

Now that's some sensible thinking there!

I've used that way of thought with success for years now, I don't have cravings for cooked foods, eat mostly natural and unprocessed raw foods and it's really like second nature now for me, no problems.

Setting ourselves up for 'failure' generally isn't conducive to success.

Well don you!!! :)

It's this simple,

sometimes, less is more.

This is the simple-est way I have ever heard this put. Bravo to you!
I have been using alot of words for three years to say the same thing.

I have a couple who have been raw since January. I teach them this way. They are not with internet and see none of this. They dont know about all the "rules" of raw and are not aware of all the whole raw dogma.

They eat nuts whether raw or not. They used a lil agave but it didnt work for them. They love cacao and use it in moderation. They have coffee then they dont becuse it isnt working. On n on it goes. It all took care of itself!

They are having amazing success. He has lost 38 lbs in three months. They are progressing and changing as they go. Last night they told me that they are cutting down the nuts. The natural progression of things are doing the work.

Raw works....it only is a challenge when we make it be!

This post came at just the right time for me. I think we all go through those periods where we aren't sure if we are doing it "right". Its only a challenge if we make it be. LOVE it. Thanks.

agree..I do not put pressure on myself. I know if/when I sway, I feel it and it effects my bm.

So so true, love it. I remember when I was mega fat and I lost weight in part by telling myself "no, of course you can have those fries/that potato/that sandwich but just wait until tomorrow" then kept pushing it off to tomorrow, tomorrow, etc.

Knowing I *could* but was choosing not to right this moment just makes it so much easier.

Good post, thank you for this important reminder. Love to you.

Very true. I've been realizing the same thing. Before I was pressuring myself to the max. (You are your toughest critic) Since I've slacked off a little, I feel that I have done so much better. I'm not 100% right now, but fruit and green smoothies make up most of my diet. I feel that this is the most successful time for me as far as raw food is concerned. And it's only up from here. :)

This is the key to success! I failed horribly when I told myself I had to be 100%. Now I am taking things slow and it comes so natural. I keep telling myself I can order a pizza if I want, when I want it, as a treat. (I've been telling mself this for a month) I'm allowing myself to! But I just dont want it yet! :)

It makes total sense to me. I find if I tell my self if I can't have something.... I become obsessed with it. Til I break down and eat it. Yet, I have found a useful technique. I have started doing RESEARCH on various foods that I know aren't good for me..yet I crave. I find the more negative research I find such as on sugar and flour...the more I am losing taste for products which contain these. It really is a turn off to know that I am choosing to age myself and expose myself to illness using these products.

For me, using a 'one day at a time' principle always puts it in proper perspective. Also, give thanks that you have a choice!
