I was reading a book talking about herbalists using salt and oliver oil to do liver cleansing to get rid of gallstones and also kidney cleansing. Are those cleansings necessary for health? Or will a raw diet be able to accomplish all healing and cleansiing eventually?

I see liver cleansing as very profound for your health. If we can help the hard working organ to do its job, we will feel healthier for it.
I love liver cleansing and have had amazing results. I love how I feel after doing one..so clean and clear.
Raw cleanses the body but I want to have it all on outta there.
I am all about cleansing.
Time is a factor too. You can expedite your bodys healing by cleansing in this way. Otherwsie let raw do its work and it will over time.

Lovenlife, Thanks for replying. So you have had good experiences with liver cleanse. Do you know where that 1/2 cup of olive oil go in a liver cleanse/ Will that become stored fat?

In my opinion, it all comes out. I have never had a problem with that.

Thanks. I read the thread you quoted. One reply there says one can feel sweaty, dizzy, almost dying. That is scary. Did you have that kind of symptoms?

I like specific cleansing routines for myself. Helps the transitions.
I did experience that awful feel like I should be in the hospital once many years ago. Just took the apples out of the cleanse and next time it was fine.

Thanks. That is encouraging. Your discomfort the first time might mean the cleanse did work. And that kind of horrible experience might not happen to everybody who is healthier, since it did not happen to you the second time you did it. ;)

Necessary? No. It is optional. :)

But it is accelerated cleansing, right?
Thanks for all the replies. I am really thinking hard trying to decide if I should do it this weekend while my husband is not at home.
