Is living the raw simple life cheaper?
I do mean by simple as more simple "local" foods and such.
What do you do or want to do to keep it simple? (Food or non food living)

Just eat anything....RAW... It's THAT Simple! Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.
People talk about Fast Food...How "FAST" is it to grab a Banana, peel it, and eat it!!! You KNOW it hasn't been touched anyone's dirty hands and it comes in it's own protective Cover! What more do you need!!!
Now, I DO make more RAW "gormet" style meals for myself and others...because I ENJOY DOING IT... But, when I wanna eat simply, I eat simply!!! Eating RAW, to me, is cheaper than SAD!!! Why not save your receipts and compare! That's what I did!!! But......even if it WASN'T, it's STILL Better for your body to eat this way!!! How much do you spend on Doctor's Visits? How much do you spend on Medication? Eating RAW you avoid all of that.
My eats are pretty simple. I have a big green smoothie every morning. I try to have a big (1 quart+) green juice in the afternoon. I have some type of big salad (most often this is non-lettuce) for supper. I snack on fruits & veggies in between if I want something more.
This year I'm planting lots of lettuces and dark greens - so that's pretty local ~ I'm sure excited about picking my green smoothie greens from our garden! *Ü*

By sticking with meals that usually take 5 minutes or less and use few ingredients, I keep it simple. If I were to be forced to stick with local produce only, then I've complicated things. I would have way less variety and I'd be forced to go to several locations. The longer you're raw, the less you need or want much more than produce in your meals. I actually eat more than ever yet my cost for food has gone down greatly.

I tend to eat more simply. I do buy some prepared raw crackers that can get expensive. I just haven't found a recipe that tastes good yet
I have 1 quart of smoothie each for bfast and lunch (bfast one is green) then for dinner I'll usually have guac on crackers, or I'll graze on fruit or nuts
I do like making recipes, but not too often because they have so many ingredients and take so long. I made some cinnamon rolls yesterday, though! delicious
I think it helps a lot if you aren't still high on cooked foods. It's easier to eat "simple" after doing a fast, and you can make a lot of "simple" yet delish raw meals without getting all gourmet on yo' ass ;)
You don't need a dehydrator or a vitamix, you just need a nice (maybe asian) supermarket where you can buy your produce. If there's a market in your area, try there, they're often cheaper!
Also you'll notice foods that aren't in season being a lot more expensive. For example I can't buy strawberries cos they're like three quid a box, but lettuces are only 69p :D so I buy a lot of lettuce instead haha. In the meantime, grapes are sweeter than strawberries and half the price for the same amount :)
