Hi all,

So I'm waiting for the UPS guy to come by my office with my new Omega 8005 and I was wondering what are your favorite books on juicing and why.

I've been on the search for a books that uses a serious an/or scientific approach to juicing as opposed to making things that are simply sweet and "good for your kids".

Suffice it to say, I am curious if there’s a book out there that is a little less Bed Bath and Beyond (where I purchased my first juicer, a Breville, which I’ve returned) and a bit more, well, a place that stocks Omegas, Champions and Greenstars as opposed to Jack LeLanes and Brevilles.

There is a restaurant in Toronto called Fresh and they have put out a cookbook called Refresh. It has a large and very good juicing section. I have personally made many of the juice recipes and only one so far has turned out not so good. All the others are staples in my diet now. Great photos and the food recipes are good too. Not all raw but vegan at least.

I have an Omega juicer and LOVE it. Enjoy when yours arrives. Here's my favorite recipe in case you dont have a book when it comes.

2 apples
4 carrots
1/2 inch ginger

Mmmm good.

I have Heinerman's encyclopedia of healing juices. It has some recipes in the back, but it's basically a book of what certain juices does, nutritional values, method of use and how they should be taken, side effects, etc.
