Morning all! Another great raw day! Am going to stick to very light meals for the next week i.e. without nuts and seeds, added oils or any dehydrated foods. I want to see how I'll feel on the simple stuff. I need to make sure I get enough because of the nursing. I'll just need to listen to my body and make sure I eat when I'm hungry.
Brekkie - smoothie with strawberry, banana, tsp supergreens and some hemp oil
Snack - spinach, kale, banana and date smoothie
Lunch - 1/2 avo, 1/2 yellow pepper, chilli olives and cherry toms
Snack - 2 satsumas, some grapes and some dates
Dinner- 1/2 avo, 1/2 yellow pepper, chilli olives and cherry toms and a dried fig and a few raisins cos I was still hungry

Morning all,
doing a short fast these days - today is day 2. Kinda did a switch on the MC and am using grapefruit juice instead of lemon, herbal teas and water. For whatever reason, these short "fasts" help me really jump back into raw.
Can't wait for my smoothie and fruit day on Friday! Happy Wednesday!!

OMG! I added something new to my diet. I've been eating fruit for like the past 3 wks & just started doing P90x so I'm trying to incorporate some greens back in my diet. I'm gonna do it through smoothies so my body can digest it easier.
My breakfast somoothie:
spinach/ grapes/ 1/2 pear/ pinneapple/ 1/2 mango/ blueberries
I'll probably have fruit throughout the day
Dinner will most likely be fruit or smoothie with spinach/ carrots/ sprouts/ pinneapple

Do you work best with accountability? If you want a raw food partner, I'm here. I have put on lots of weight during my pregnancy and am sick of being FAT! I have been here since day 1 but yesterday I started on a fruit and smoothie plan for 7 days. You might just want to go for it on this 30 days challenge but as I say, if you want one on one accountability, just get in touch.
Enjoy!

Hello Miss Unsure. :) ...We've lost a few April challengers. So hey--I'm happy to see more jump on board here!
Just lemon water so far for me today... I guess I'll hafta make myself clean out that blender and crank out a green smoothie soon---The blender rarely makes it past the sink before I need it again. ...Blade is going kafooey--I'd better find a replacement ASAP. What would I do without it?
B: banana, pineapple
L: homemade bar
D: carrot sticks w/leftover 'alfredo' sauce as dip
...My period finally came, about 5 days late. Didn't feel like preparing anything, so just didn't bother to eat a lot. ...Resisted stopping at McD's for a fish sandwich!

Had a hectic but happy and productive week and am now taking it a bit easier. And I did get off course a bit but not so much as I used to.:)
I am keeping my raw food much simpler as some of you others are also. I am pretty sure that I feel better this way.
B. Smoothie: spinach, 2 bananas, 1 orange and some water
L. another smoothie: 1/2 cuke, 2 bananas, raspberries and grapes, stevia

I'm on my 4th day!!! I'm thrilled with myself... and wanna really make this work for me! Thanks for sharing your inspirational stories. :p
'morning all,
I'm far from keeping my raw diet simple as of late. I'm sure I'll get back to more simple meals like fruit, veges, and salads... and I am planning a week-long fast next month... but for now I'm really enjoying trying Alissa's recipes and indulging myself. (heh, I've always been a wee bit of a hedonist and raw food is apparently no exception.)
I couldn't wait to try the crab cakes again, so I ate 3 for breakfast topped with my own recipe for tartar sauce. Surprisingly good!
(Tartar sauce was simply: 1/2 c macademia nuts, 1/4 pickle juice, diced cucumbers, kelp seasoning, salt and pepper)
Followed that up with an indulgent smoothie of water, almonds, banana, dates, cacao, maca, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Man, I'm ready to start my day after that!!! :)
Tonight I'm going to heat up some red peppers in the dehydrator and try to make stuffed peppers with the leftover Better Than Beef and maybe trying Alissa's Nacho Cheese to top it with.
Raw is so much fun!
Have a great day everyone. I'll be back to check in later this evening.
*** I'm back :)
Had an exact repeat of breakfast as a late lunch, except I added greens along with the crab cakes. And I had to take a picture because I'm a dork. Have I mentioned I love raw? :)

Ah, raw. Can't really imagine eating any other way now. I no longer have cravings for cooked foods... Although I did dream I was making a sandwich with white bread, mayo, mustard and yellow-square cheese :D
Morning smoothie: coconut water and meat, spinach, banana and some dates
Hello all, I'm still hanging. It's about time to make another run to the store. I've been doing well. I really wish I had more time for making meals, but oh well at least I'm raw! I WANT SOME JUICY SEASONAL FRUITS! I can't wait!

TMI - but I have a yeast infection today. It made me feel kindof blah so I didn't really want to eat anything raw. I don't really like raw veggies all that much sometimes. So, I pretty much ate 3 apples and a bit of pinapple today. Stayed all raw though which is a big change for me when I want comfort food.

That is amazing! Good for you. I hope everything went smoothly with your mom visiting. :) I've been raw almost at long as you (I think I'm a few days behind, I'd miscounted earlier)... and I may have lost 5 lbs. and I've gained back 2 lbs. !!! Just goes to show how different every body is.

Yum, sounds good. What kind of ravioli? And how was the feta?
Stayed all raw though which is a big change for me when I want comfort food. Nice! Congrats.
Hi. Today is my day one. Welcome! (In my best microsoft voice)
...Resisted stopping at McD's for a fish sandwich! Ha!
I'm on my 4th day!!! I'm thrilled with myself... and wanna really make this work for me! Thanks for sharing your inspirational stories. :p Congrats! Keep it up. I found a bit of a downswing in week two but it's been getting consistently better, which makes it so much easier. Plus it's fun playing in the kitchen!

Raw is so much fun!
It's so fun playing in the kitchen. And the great thing about eating raw is you can do it guilt free! Right now I don't care what I eat as long as it's raw and can't run away. Even if the food is a little heavy and I don't feel as good as I might eating lighter, I also don't have any desire to eat crappy cooked food though it does smell good sometimes but I'm trying to just enjoy the smell without feeling like I need to it.

Isn't it. This round has been so much easier and I think a big part of that for me is the inspiration and support we get from one another. Thanks Raw PEOPLE!
no longer have cravings for cooked foods... Although I did dream I was making a sandwich with white bread, mayo, mustard and yellow-square cheese :D
Strangely appetizing :)
Sorry for the day late post. Yesterday was the last day of having my parents upstate and then had to head back to the city and just didn't find time for posting in between.
My mom's pakoras came out great! Had some of those for breakfast and then a chocolate shake, a quart of fresh o.j., a pineapple pear and spinach smoothie, Some bananas and half a kombucha.
