L: 2 bananas, celery with a tiny bit of (non raw) white bean hummus whoops
I really need to get more calories in. When I get home I'm planning on a big green mango smoothie with a banana and coconut for more calories. Probably a larabar at some point and some mangos and a huge salad later on

Hello all I think this is day 18 for me :)
I feel wonderful:D
Lots of detox: sore lower back, sty on my eye, zits and..........
I have lot 19lbs:D:D
g'day all
Started the day off with carrot-ginger juice.
I have crab cakes in the dehydrator. (Last time I made them, they never made it there because I ended up eating it as a pate.) Can't wait to eat them later! I'm brainstorming ways to make raw tartar sauce. I'm thinking maybe blending macademia nuts with raw pickle juice. I have no idea, so if anyone else does, I'd love to hear it!
I also am going to try to make Alissa's Better Than Beef today. I have 4 cups carrot pulp set aside and the sundried tomatoes are soaking. I don't have half the seasonings the recipe calls for, so I hope I can wing it with what I have. (Anyone try this? Any suggestions on how to eat it?)
Planning on a green smoothie after yoga... gotta use up the dandelion greens and the mangos, are suddenly pushing the limits of fresh.
I'm feeling great... but I'm thinking maybe I'm entering another round of detox. (???) My face is starting to really break out. Of course, now that I think of it, could be the sunblock I've been having to start to wear.
Anyway, have a great day all! :) Happy Rawness. ;)
*** I'm back... and bloated. woof.
The day continued with:
Large green smoothie (fresh mangos, bananas, dandelion greens, frozen peaches, orange, dried coconut, ground flax, maca, and green supplement) -- very thick, and even with all that fruit I could still taste the bitter dandelions. eh.
Tried the Better Than Beef and OMG, I think it's awesome!!! I'm dreaming up ways to use it, but so far I just scarfed 1/2 of it down plain, didn't even bother to heat it up. It really tastes like meat to me, but I would never just sit and eat seasoned meat like I did with this. (I think this is what causing the bloating though, or just overeating in general... speaking of which, I gain 2 pounds since yesterday apparently. ?!?!? I'm just going to stop weighing myself when I'm at my MIL's, it's kinda depressing.)
Also had 2 crab cakes. Can't wait to try the tartar sauce with them.
Also ate a bunch of fruit (non-organic, unfortunately) at my MIL's: grapes and cantaloupe
See y'all tomorrow!

CONGRATS Yeshia! I'd like to lose about 20 pds or so and am being patient since it's only day 13. Woo hooooo, day 13!! I had a few hard moments over the weekend but made it through. Today I made my own version of raw tabouli with avocado and have some fruit and kale chips. Man, I LOVE kale chips. I get the salty, crunchy factor and that really helps. I can't wait to have my nut milk fruit smoothie later this evening. This journey is good because I always love to learn discpline. Have a good day! :D

Oh yeah, I'll be doing a liver cleanse in a week or so. It's time. My skin is breaking out as well and for me that means my liver needs some declogging. It's rough but worth it, speaking for myself only.

Joya - I have a recipe somewhere for tartar sauce. I thought it was good but, my sister loved it so much she used it as a dip for veggies also to finish the recipe up. I'm not home now but, if I can find it I will post it when I get home.

Well, I'm here to join the breaking out crowd. Definitely not like cooked food breakouts. I wasn't sure if it was because I was eating so many nut heavy dishes or just another level of detox. Either way, it's not too bad.
It's day 19 for me and I feel great. Wired almost like I'm hopped up on caffeine but without the jitters. And I feel like I'm thinking more clearly and definitely less agitated.
My house is chaos right now with my parents and their two dogs here and enough stuff for a 6 month visit. My mom is one of the messiest people I know, God love her. But it's really not bugging me much. Which is saying a lot.
I was feeling kind of stuffed from all the gourmet meals we'd been making lately so had some o.j., some bananas, and a red pepper coconut soup for dinner followed by a couple of bananas.
My mom is getting all kinds of crafty in the kitchen (trying to make raw pakoras now and kind of just experimenting with her own recipe?!) - having fun with the blendtec, cuisinart, and dehydrator - and she's on her 4th day of raw!! She seems to be enjoying it and feeling good. I'm really hoping she can keep it up when she goes back to MO. It will definitely be tougher there as they're really in the sticks. She's been doing a few green smoothies a week for the last few months so she could be on her way.
Happy raw, people!

Thanks! I think I will try this tomorrow. I am holding myself back from eating all the crab cakes at once because I'd like to try them with tartar sauce. This sounds good. Thanks for the tip to quarter the recipe. I never know how much Alissa's recipes will make!
