Joya mentioned that she has actually gained weight. ...I also have bounced back up a pound the last few days. I thought it might be PMS retention...And my period seems to be delayed...hmm..

B-Shrek Smoothie=green smoothie, this is what my 5yr old son named it today...very fitting.
S-banana and clementine
L-taco "meat" and lettuce boats..made my taco meat rather spicy so very authentic mexican food..lol.
S-probably fruit...
D- salad with mexican theme as I made my family pork and rice empanadas...smells good, I love the smell of oregano and cumin mixed together.

B. Delicious smoothie:collards, bananas, grapes, juice of 4 oranges I am pretty sure the greens in this was collards, but it was hard to tell as they weren't marked and were from my freezer. Usually I don't like them as they are overpowering - maybe the fact that I used lots of sweet fruit helped. I'm not sure but no matter - this drink is very tasty.:D

S: figs+dates+indian nuts+cranberries
D: smoothie: bananas+dandelion
Have a great evening!
Yeah, I gained, but I eat a lot. :) Plus, I've been doing yoga, so it might just be increased muscle mass. I certainly feel healthy, so I'm not concerned over a number on a (potentially defunct) scale.
Today so far has been:
Juice - carrot, beet, ginger, strawberry (okay, but very sweet)
Leftover carrot pecan burger with curry sauce on top of greens. (so good, I wish I had more left over, but alas, it was only one)
Large slice of leftover banana-coconut cream pie.
Polished off the (week old!) leftover onion dip, scooped up with carrots.
And I'm eyeing up that young coconut in the back of the fridge.
I'll be back to record more later, I'm sure. I'm thinking about making more nori rolls so I can use up the cauliflower that's pushing freshness as well.
Oh, and Happy Birthday to Katy! Hope you're having a RAWtastic day (heh heh) ;) :p
*** back to add more:
Coconut milk & blueberry smoothie
Nori rolls w/ cauliflower, avocado, carrots and red pepper, eaten with fresh ginger slices and dipped in Bragg's
Modified Mudslide smoothie: water, almonds, cacao, maca, banana, dates, cinnamon (yum!)
Ate a LOT today... no wonder I'm gaining weight! :)

Aww, thanks for the birthday wishes raw peeps.
Sadly I was swamped with work for the better part of the day so had some fruit salad, a few bananas, and the last little piece of leftover meatloaf. I'm excited for the squash rolatini we're making for dinner though. And I think my mom is making me the chocolate cake from alissa's book. Hope it's good.

Eating a bit lighter today. I lost 2 pounds this week. I think I ate like 5 cups of nuts over the weekend between the cheesecake and lasagna.
Today I have had a green smoothy, A couple of apples, a mango and some guac. I'll probably have a couple of apples before bed tonight. My stomach is still feeling the beating it took with that cheesecake.
I am thinking of starting juice fast sometime later this week. I have business lunch on Thursday so I may wait until Friday.

Okay people,
You have got to make the squash rolatini. It was AMAZING. Best raw food I ever had.
Found it here: http://www.juliesrawambition.com/2010/03/spinach-rawcotta-squash-involtini-with-marinara/
The chocolate cake from Alissa's book was good, too. My mom made it and added some vanilla and extra honey to the frosting to sweeten it up a bit more. Good stuff.

It was good! And now you've inspired me to make crab cakes once I recover from heavy food overload though I was never tempted to eat real ones. You and all your tasty meals :)
Let's see, The Husband took Alissa's book back to the city with him this morning so I don't have it in front of me but I know it was the chocolate cake with figs in it. Pretty tasty, too. But HUGE. I'd quarter the recipe. It's so rich. Oh, and we had raspberries with it. YUM.
