A few days ago my favourite dealer suggested me to try some young ginger, it was frozen and I took it, stored it in the freezer and forgot about it.

Last night I was a bit high on temperatur, more or less fever. So I wanted to make a energizing green smoothie this morning, but I was out on plain ginger and I rembered the young one.

I just can tell it tastes amazing, does anyone knows this and what else you can make with it, I like it in the smoothie, but I think you can use it for other recipes.

Advices are welcome.

Saludos,

Marcel

ciao, marcel!

i love ginger - if i had an abundance of young ginger i would make as many raw thai-flavored dishes as i could! (ginger & basil)

here are some ideas...

salad with grated cabbage, carrot, bean sprouts, ginger, olive/sesame, lime, acv
soup with carrot, ginger
green soup with spinach/greens, tomato, avo, garlic, ginger
fruit salad with sliced citrus variety/tropical fruits and grated ginger/vanilla
ginger spice cookies from carrot pulp with nuts, and, of course, ginger
pickle ginger in some braggs as a condiment (slice first)
fresh ginger, lemon, honey/sweetener juice

i did make the mistake of thinking 'if i love ginger, i must really love this giant root of thai ginger (Galangal)..." would rather eat durian than galangal, if that gives a perspective on it!! :)

happy ginger-ing!
