I haven't started eating Raw yet...I have spent the last several days researching the lifestyle and am looking for some advice/support. I am especially interested in some reliable literature and family friendly ( I have two very young children and a meat lovin' husband to cook for) recipes/cookbooks. Additionally, I cannot afford to purchase a Vitamix or a dehydrator.

I believes this is exactly what my family has been searching for. I work out 5-6 days a week, cook extremely healthy and low fat meals, yet I am still tired and worn out. Of course, a 1.5 and 3.5 year old will do that, but I think I am missing something in our nutritional lives...

Suggestions, please

Do you have Alissa's book yet? It has a step by step plan you could follow and over 300 recipes!!! Trust me, you WANA get this book!!!

I also have to cook for my meat eating hubby, but I don't let that stop me from eating the best way that "I" can eat!!! Sometimes he even joins me eating RAW because the RAW food looks SOOOO GOOD!!! You ***CAN*** do it!!! Alissa shows you how!

If you would like to see some photos of Alissa's food that I've made, click on the links in my signature line! :)

I have just ordered her book today! I am excited but nervous; it seems "hippie," but I am energized by the positive feedback! Thank you for the reply and I will be perusing your dishes!

It is my favorite raw food book. Not hippie at all!!:
Though hippie is fine with me!
It is because of this book(and my strong desire) that I am now almost 6 months raw. I
It is a fun journey!!
All the best to you!

You could start with green smoothies. It is something the entire family can have together and most beneficial. Even my meat eating husband takes one daily.

Last year I managed to make Snowdrop's chicken recipe without a dehydrator I had to let the pieces air-dry for 2 days, but IT WAS lovely. I think your husband would love it.:D
