Well, I've lost 7 pounds since April 1!

First, swallowed garlic clove
B: Homemade 'Lara Bar', Green smoothie: Chard, tangerine juice, pineapple
S: Almonds
L: Salad - Mixed greens, walnuts, apples, red onion, avocado, o/v
S: 'Lara Bar'
D: A little bit of cole slaw, per recipe given a few days ago by Basenjimama ...Just not too hungry this evening
S: A few 'Macaroons' - dried coconut, coconut oil, honey
Hello! Way to go New! I'm gliding along. I went to the market last night and wouldn't you know, I have all that yummy food in the refrigerator and didn't make time to uncook for today. So, I have fruit, ginger snap sesame crackers and more fruit for today. Oh well! It has only been 9 days so I'm giving it a month to really start seeing changes in my body, though I definitely am not gaining weight. My body is probably like, wtheck?! Haha! I'm feeling like it's time to do a series of enemas too to get things moving along.
Have a great raw day all! :D

Whoo hoo, good for you!
Zuri -the most important thing is, you're DOING IT! and not rushing the changes either :)
Green smoothie this am w/ banana, raspberries and greenleaf lettuce, copy of Mondays. I have some tomatoes for lunch but nothing else.....didn;t think to grab extra greens. may be taking a trip to the store for avo or something else along those lines. Have two pineapples at home to feast on tomorrow :) Just enjoying feeling better!

Yeshia, thats so great, congrats! :)
I usually eat more that today, but today i didnt feel so good, so i didnt eat so much. I think that is very important to eat a lot, if we want to stay raw. Some people stop raw eating just because they dont eat enough. So thats why i have everywhere i go bananas and apples with me.

I know, because there are times when I try to get so much work packed into one day, that I neglect to plan better for my own food - husband gets a planned and prepared meal - but today I didn't eat until about 4:30p.m. Not a great idea. But, I had a delicious smoothie: a whole pineapple in it, with 3 bananas, spinach and the juice of 4 oranges.:D
I haven't weighed myself today but I was 166 yesterday, down from around 171 when I started. Perhaps if I eat more I, too, will lose 10 lbs! Wouldn't that be nice?!
Yeshia - congrats on the 10lb weight loss - yippee:)
A New Me - 7lbs gone - that's "flabuless"!
All of you are doing well.:D
xoxo

LOL, no worries... sounds like it's working great for you. Isn't it wonderful to be able to eat whatever and as much as one wants? (As long as it's raw, of course.) It's funny, some days I feel like a piglet too, especially when I find myself eating more because it just tastes so damn good, rather than actually being hungry.
10 lbs. in 9 days is quite a feat. Good for you. :)
I feel like I must be losing weight, though I don't think I look much different. (I've been doing yoga 3-5 times a week for the past several weeks, so that is making a difference in my body). Overall though, I just feel healthy. My belly still has a pooch, but I'm okay with that. I don't have a scale, which is probably a good thing!
So today thus far has gone like this: (used the VitaMix for every meal!)
breakfast - Alissa's Mudslide (almonds, banana, water, dates)
lunch - green smoothie (dandelions, bananas, orange, frozen cherries, frozen mangos, dates, maca, ground flax and green supplement)
also carrots with onion dip (so good, but it sure does make me gassy) :o
late afternoon - smoothie with young coconut, frozen mango and banana
dinner - TBD
Glad everyone is still on board and thriving!!! :)
*** back to add:
Dinner - nori rolls w/ cauliflower, carrot, avocado, and sprouts. eaten with raw ginger and dipped in Bragg's .... mmmmmm delicious!

Nice!! Congrats on all the weight loss guys. I think I've dropped 5 lbs or so but didn't weigh myself when I started.
I've been swamped today so haven't eaten much. Some granola and a chocolate shake and a mini green savory smoothies that the husband made.
I'm kind of starved and feel like I'm on the verge of maybe getting sick but not feeling bad really. Must still be working through the early detox round.
Practiced yoga two days in a row so that's feeling good. Now my parents are here from MO so we're upstate for the next five or six days. I'll still have to remote into work but it will be nice to be home and start making some more complex dishes. Especially since there are no raw restaurants up here.
Keep it up people!! We're all doing so well.

Been a great day here: my daughter, two friends and I took a picnic to the river--so beautiful!! Blue skies with distant puffy clouds, shells on the river beach, lovely pink and purple blossomed trees interspersed among the green.
Food:
Flatbread with spread
Apple
Orange
Celery
Sweet peppers
Pear
Two or so brownies
No exercise so far today. I've been really good all week, working out for an hour or so with the weight machine, treadmill, and resistance machines. I may squeeze an hour in tonight before bed... or maybe not. Time will tell.

I've lost around 5 pounds since going raw last Thursday, though I feel tired pretty much all the time now. The first few days I was going strong and even experienced a surge of energy, but now I find I have to constantly rest/take a nap or I really just won't make it.
I was hoping the detox would be winding down now... but apparently I'm just in the thick of it? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey there, definitely had more energy the first couple days than I did the second week. Seems like a pretty common time to start working some stuff out of your body. Hang in there!! Everyone says it gets better. I'm on day 15 and feel kind of strange--like a ton of energy mixed with maybe on the verge of a cold or something. But definitely not tired like I was. Most accounts I've read are that you start to feel consistently better in the second half of the first month. Hence the 30 day challenge :D

Thanks, Katy, that is good to know! My goal is to be 100% raw vegan for three months (yay a week and one day down!) and depending on how that goes, either continue as 100% raw vegan for another three months or do something like 75% raw.
The other thing that has been curious for me is that I am just craving meat and fried chicken from kfc like nobody's business!!! I have been a strict vegetarian for 11 years and would occasionally crave meat in the past ... but now I crave it all.the.time.
Although I eat tons of nori and pepita seeds, I'm thinking I might have a an iron/b12 deficiency going on, which then somewhat explains my fatigue. Hmmm.... I haven't taken any suppliments up till now, but it looks like I might start with b-12....

Ha! That's awesome on the cravings. I think nutritional yeast has b12 in it. You might try mixing that in some things to give it a little KFC kick.
