I keep a stash of wild mediterranean oregano oil on hand for when I'm around sick people. It has prevented me from getting a cold for over 5 years now. It's all I use!

Just listening to Dr. Cass Ingram on the health renegade show discuss the power of it. He made a point that a lot of time people are attributing everything to candida when it could be a number of different things. Oil of oregano works for a broad spectrum of health problems. I feel like I need a few rounds of treatment.

Has anyone here used this personally as an antibiotic?
Just a word of mild caution - bear in mind that essential oils are rather potent so you may experience digestive upset if you use oregano oil capsules on an empty stomach and/or if you take them last thing at night (because when you get into bed, you'll be lying down horizontally and the capsule may not move through your system as quickly as it would during the day).
I've experienced both the above issues in the past, but I concede that the capsules I used also contained a small proportion of ginger oil, which might have played some part. I also note that in the link you posted, mention is made of mixing the oregano oil with olive or coconut oils, doubtless to tone down the ferocity of the neat essential oil...but I can't help wondering if this may also reduce the potency of the oils properties somewhat - e.g. if it's more pleasant for the patient, then perhaps it may unfortunately also be more pleasant for parasites etc., which might thus, perhaps, be better able to withstand its medicinal effects.
When taken appropriately, though, I've found oregano oil (and peppermint oil) are both very useful therapeutic oils.
I also frequently make myself a simple tea by adding hot water to ordinary mixed dried herbs (including oregano and/or peppermint). Not instead of capsules, but as an ordinary healthy adjunct to my daily intake of fruit and vegetables etc.

i strongly advise to be watchful of "bee" and information she gives... i strongly advise most of all to not read her info. in all my experiences with her for every piece of correct info she gives is slammed with about 25 wrongs. she HAS through her demands of advice put people in hospital. also if you disagree with her on anything you get very threatning emails and long strands of harrassment if you disagree more than once.
she also does not support raw vegans.
i sort of wish i remember the old yahoo email account i had with her yahoo forum to back this all up. i was interested in learning about candia at the time. i immediately saw through my much education where she was wrong. she deletes everything and demands only comments to be made where you support her. since i was on that forum very frequently i saw much going on until i had enough and addressed it. then i got the most lunatic emails from her. i vistited another candia forum and saw litteraly hundreds of different members commenting the same experiences as i had and her driving people between being very ill and worse off to some in hospital stays.
i did not read the link in order to make any comments on it. i am being a very nice and caring person to give the heads up and warnings about this woman who names herself "bee"... for you will get a sting in every area by her.
i've mentioned her here before i think a couple years ago and on threads others mentioned some of her info and some members responding she is incorrect.

Thank you for the warning but this time she has been a great help with the oregano oil because it has been a life saver for me. When i first read this post, i was spitting blood from my lung and nose due to a chronic bronchitis. I did hydro colon therapy and along doing the oregano oil with coconut oil. I also used that on my husband when he was fight a chronic bacterial infection on his skin. I managed to heal and so my husband. He had to take anti-biotic but i didn't.
I think the lesson is to take and leave. You always have to research or take what feels right to you. Last year, when i read that post, it felt right to me and i did give a try to oregano oil.
All is well!
p.s If i would have to do this again, i wouldn't use the oil because i just found out that the oil of the plant is the most toxic part. I probably would buy fresh oregano and put it in my smoothie instead.
