Okay so I was feeling like crap all day yesterday except for a brief hiatus after my chocolate shake.

I had chocolate avocado mousse for dinner (Do you guys all know about this?? It's the most absolutely delicious thing ever as long as you add some berries or banana. Mmmm-mmmm.). But I was still feeling tired and lousy the rest of the night.

Then 9:30 hit. I went to bed and Aspirant started reading Live Food Factor to me (I think that's the title) cause I wanted to hear all about how I'd feel once the lousy phase passed. And then I started getting wired. Couldn't sleep til about 11 and then woke up at 6 feeling fresh and perky so I finally made it to yoga for the first time since starting this whole raw escapade (normally I go 3 or 4 times a week).

I can't tell you how good I feel!! I'm on day 14 now.

Not sure what I'll eat today but I have leftover green smoothie ingredients in the fridge here at work so I'll start with that. Pineapple, pear, and spinach!

I biked to work so it'll be easy to take a quick ride over to Whole Foods later to get something for lunch. I'm thinking I'll make the creamy miso soup from Living Cuisine - which by the way is also amazing.

It's funny, my first couple days raw I felt amazing. Like a taste of things to come. And then I was so tired half the time - needing like 9-10 hours of sleep a night. And now I feel like day 2 again. :D

I'm sure the detoxing isn't done for good but it's nice to feel motivated and happy at work again! I was starting to feel like I wanted to quit my job everytime I went raw. You hear all those stories about how raw makes you want to make these huge changes in your life. But I think I was just tired. Really tired.

Thanks for all the feedback yesterday. Joya, good to know you've been feelin' consistently groovy since the first couple weeks. And your salad sounded so good!!

Oh my God! I almost want to exclaim something like "Have a rawtastic day everyone!" but I won't. I refuse to make words with the word "raw" in them.

But have a super day anyway!

Glad to hear it Katy.

Hi all! Great day again, though I feel a little tired. I got in late last night. I made a carob, mint, banana and Brazil nut smoothie for breakfast. I usually drink it in the evening but eh, no matter. I have a salad with left over almond flour, fruit and a raw spirulina bar for today. It's time to go back to the store! I need a few things to make some yummy recipes I found! I'm looking forward to having a weekend to just uncook to my heart's content and take a walk in the woods. This weekend I'll have my baby nephew so we'll see how that goes.

More than enjoy your day all! :D

So glad you are off to a better start today! Myself, I could have added another 2 hours of sleep this morning :p

SO HUNGRY this am.....?? Working on the second half of my huge GS - whole bunch of rainbow chard, 2 bananas, 2 kiwi, .5 pint strawberries
also munching on a bag of green grapes

tomato and avo again for lunch with celery and almond butter for snack.

didn't try the cauliflower tabouli last night so that is happening tonight - even hubby is excited :D

Best to all!

Breakfast - Green smoothy with lots of spinach, a mango, some apples and raspberries.

I am planning to make some banana vanilla ice cream and I also am planning to make some quacamole and have it on a salad.

Going strong on my eating but, I think my calories are still a bit low and I am not feeling well at all. How long can a detox last??!?!?! My skin is still breaking out pretty bad.

I am not on day 7. I am on day 32 of a 90 day raw challenge with my sister. I made the the first 7 days but on days 8-14 I messed up on about 5 of the days at the end of the day so right now I am on day 18 of 100% raw everyday. I am starting to feel like I am going to make it for the rest of the 90 day challenge. It ends on June 5th.

'morning All,

Katy, glad to hear you're feeling better. :)

Zuri, that sounds like an interesting shake combination... I might try it with cacao sometime (since I'm not a carob fan)

And *waves hi* to everyone else.

Was up early today get a job to the printer. Came home and whipped up some coconut milk for breakfast. Oh so good.

Heading to yoga at noon and will follow that up with a green smoothie.

Not sure what the rest of my day will look like. I'll be back!

cheerio.

*** back to add more:

Lunch ended up being a lot! Guacamole scooped up with celery. Apple slices slathered in almond butter. Followed up by two "snackaroon" cookies. Lots of fat. Apparently that is what my body is needing right now. I need to drink more water, but it is tasting so chemically to me at the moment that it is hard. (Waiting for my distiller so I can "make" better drinking water.)

Not sure what dinner will bring...

*** back again. Dinner was onion dip & carrot sticks.

Tired.

Ack! I just registered for a work conference in St. Louis and under Special Dietary Requirements I wrote "Raw Vegan".

Let's see if they can handle that.

..I've been swallowing a garlic clove in the A.M., and sometimes P.M. on several of the last few days, just for the heck of it. Garlic is good in many ways, eh?

That darn sore throat is still lingering. I've had it since several days before the start of this. Otherwise, I feel pretty consistently good.

B: Small fruit salad--Pineapple, grapes, bananas, coconut flakes, splash OJ
S: Almonds
late lunch: Salad--mixed greens, avocado, walnuts, apples, red onion, o/v
S/D: home-made 'Lara bar'

Hi everyone! I am feeling a bit sluggish today. And also I do not have a very large appetite. I've been high raw about a month now. Still breaking out a bit as well..not sure whats causing it, wishing I could figure it out!

B - banana, 3 oranges

L - 1/2 c trail mix - nuts & dried fruit, 2 oranges, 4 kiwi

D - large butter lettuce salad w/ cuc, pepper, olives, avocado

I am trying to incorporate more fats - almond butter & avocado..I feel like my body is craving them and my hair is healthier and skin more nourished with a little extra.

Almost Friday! yay :D
