waaa I am in major pain.
I mentioned earlier that I quit smoking so bare that in mind.

So today I did some things and I sweated...and my sweat BURNED my skin.....literally. It is red and painful and looks just like a sunburn. I put some aloe gel on and it made it feel so much worse....terribly painful and burning.
Could this be from quitting smoking? As in detox? It is awful.

What to do?

Stay calm and strong. Do not panic. More likely you are going through the withdrawing (sp) effects. Body is fighting addiction. It will take a while.

Might take a bath with some baking soda in it.

Sweet G I didn't know you smoked. When did you quit?

Oh - I just saw your thread about quitting smoking last week. Cold water would probably help and when you aren't in the bath, use a water sprayer or washcloths with just plain cold water or ice cubes. I hope you feel better.

hey, i DONT smoke!
I am thinking maybe my body is in acid shock or something. From stuff being released, all fluids are high acid. Thats all I can figure out.

Try some MSM. Your sweat burned your skin? Did you sweat mostly from under your arms? or your whole body? Palms? Was the burning localized? I sometimes burn and itch the next day when I've eaten something cooked the day before. And just under my arms. But I think it's a combo of eating something cooked and sweating in that area that I just shaved that morning...not sure. When this happens to me I get in the shower and do some skin brushing....but if your feeling sunburnt then eee I'm not sure how that would be for you.

I too would try a good soak.

Hope you feel better.

might be a good idea to take it easy the next few days and keep cool. If possible to take a few showers per day, just quick ones to rinse yourself. The skin plays a major part in cleansing so it's not surprising if reactions like this could happen.

If it doesn't get better I would advice you to go and see your dr about it. Just to make sure that it isn't anything worse.

Hope you feel better today!
