Hi. My name is Pamela and I am 55 years old. I grew up in Montreal, Quebec and am now in Alberta. I am a mother and an artist. I care about the environment.

I have been a vegetarian for about 25years. I've been vegan on and off during that time but only just committed to veganism about 2 weeks ago. I can't be too hard on myself tho cuz that doesn't work with me so I just keep reading the books, listening to others, and trying.

I support a raw food lifestyle big time and experiment with it very often. I have read many of the great books out there on the topic and have been moving towards total raw for many many years. Everything that I read and feel leads me to believe that we are not intented to cook food.

My goal is to read about other's journeys, advice and recipes about raw food in order to learn and be encouraged.

It would be terrific to chat with like-minded folks too!

Welcome Pamela!

Not being too hard on yourself is a central philosophy of mine, and it's held me in good stead for many years.

With raw, I see too many people discover it, then jump straight into 100% within a coupole of months and wonder why they 'fail'!

Easing into everything is what I do, and it worked with spectacular success for me with raw! I simply 'celebrated' raw for a time, making creations and eating raw foods but not calling myself raw for ages, in time a gradual shift happened and I was eating mostly raw but with no transitional pain. Thus I've managed to keep all the positive associations with raw, while avoiding the 'restrictive' 'sacrifice' and other negative associations others can have.

So simple, so easy and it really is still an utter blast for me!

Take care, take your time and celebrate it all. :D

Be intuitive. If you let it...your body will guide you.
It is your path. Follow it to your liking. No one can tell you what is best for you better than you can.
Try new foods. Tantalize the taste buds to keep it interesting.
Trust the process.
Have fun with it.
Welcome...welcome..welcome.

Thanks so much! I too have been tasting raw food delights for years. Tonight I made cashew coconut macedamian nut cake for tomorrow's family dinner.
