I have fungus on my left foot that causes bad peeling and cracking especially on my heel, and I also have two wonky toenails. Being raw helps on and off but it seems to have just taken ahold deeply. So I have read some good stuff about ACV and have finally found a method that doesn't require me to sit in one place for a long time. :D I got two cotton socks wet with ACV and put them on then covered my feet with plastic bags. So I can walk around with them on. So my question is, how long per day should I soak my feet this way. And how soon will I start seeing results? And how long should I keep this up to hopefully guarantee this junk will not come back? Anyone who has done this, all feedback appreciated. Anything EXCEPT 80/20! :p

Left foot and two toes... me, too! I'm more convinced than ever that we must have a DNA connection. ;)

At present, I am using a blend of coconut oil and hazelnut oil mixed with essential oils of palmarosa and tea tree. Both those essential oils are supposed to be good for athlete's foot. I've tried this treatment plan before, but always quit too soon. This time I'm doing it twice a day, forever. ;)

I have not tried vinegar yet. I'm really curious if this is going to work for you. Please keep me informed.

You got me curious. I did a little googling and found this. http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/athletes_foot.html Lots of talk here about several different ways to use ACV as a treatment. I think I'll try rubbing it on with a cotton ball. Can't hurt, right? Actually, it might sting if the crack(s) are open wounds.

If you have a foot fungus is it a good idea to disinfect your shoes and floors really well so it doesn't come back?

Tell me how the ACV works out.

Well, I noticed an immediate improvement with just one treatment! So now to keep up with it, that's my problem.

I'd use a good oregano oil in evoo blend for foot fungus. If the smell is too much, use it at night and cover with a comfy pair of socks. Then use a lavender and tea tree blend during the day.

p.s. cracked heels is a vitamin e deficiency sign.

No, I walk barefoot on hotel toilet floors and showers and no longer get fungus, I remember when I did during less enlightened times, though. It all boils down to body ecology, if you're nutritionally sound inside, you won't worry about what's outside.

I agree Rawcstacy....people r always saying "dont know if you want to hug me" because they are sick....I hug them, no worries and it is the best thing for them! Body ecology.

Kath, Coconut oil is a miracle. I use it as much as I can. I am currently on day three of oil pulling. Also I am thinking MSM....thats what come pops in my head about that.

I see if its on your feet, it is in your body. Amp up fermented foods and porbiotics as well as garlic and grapefruit seed extract. Green and the bitter the better. Dandelions and burdock, clean your blood.lv n wellness to you.

If ACV is working, keep it up...after having said all the other..haha

Well, that's the thing.....I don't have problems with yeast any other place on my body, though I did before raw. No vag infections or colon problems or skin problems...but my ONE foot won't clear up permanently. So I think it just got more entrenched there than anywhere else. The ACV really seems to be working, though.

Hey Katchmoleen! How did the ACV work out?

I finally found a cure using two products from Uncle Harry's Natural Products. "Healing Foot Salve for Cracks" (coconut, olive, wheat germ, hemp, lavender oils, beeswax, comfrey, benzoin, golden seal, yellow dock, balm of gilead, calendula, propolis). And "Foot Detox Healing Powder" (Bentonite Clay, Bladderwrack (organic seaweed), Apple Cider Vinegar powder).

My feet are as smooth as a baby's. Let me know if you want more info.

?? Substantiated??

I find mine crack in the cold (I don't live "up there" anymores) and when I don't take care to keep the rough stuff filed down. A good pedicure goes a long way.

Colloidal silver is toxic for bacteria, algae, and fungi. We use it around our house all the time. Cat bites, cuts and scrapes, sinus infection (healed in 24 hours), pink eye (gone in 12 hours). I've also used it to slowly heal cellulitis in my leg by applying it topically and taking it internally.
