I have decided that I want to do my first fast. I have been raw for two weeks now. At first I started to feel good fast, and i lost 6 lbs in one week! Now, I have gained back those 6 lbs. and feel the same as I did before I went raw. And I promise i have been 100% raw, and don't plan on changing, but i am overweight, and thought my body would naturally start to loose and now it is not..confused.

But anyway, I want to do a juice fast and without a juicer I was not sure how to go about this. Blend fruits and then strain? I feel like i would not get much out of that. But maybe?

Thanks!

Hi zobell ~ Yes, you can blend your fruits and veggies in the blender and strain - I do it all the time (and I've got a juicer).

Rene Oswald on YouTube is where I learned how to do this. She's actually got a eBook titled, "Juice Feasting For Life" that I purchased and she does it all in the blender.

You can see the video demonstration (video #31) on juicing with a high-speed blender and a juice bag here (http://reneoswald.com/videos.html).

Hope this helps! *Ü*

I too have a juicer yet make juices in the blender.

I even make them in my tiny travel blender. I simply strain the through a sieve. It's really simple. :)

The main reason why I make juices with the blender is the convenience. It's a pain in the butt to bring out the juicer, make juice then dismantle it, wash it and reassemble it. It's far easier to simply blend, strain and rinse out the blender jug.

I make celery, cucumber and kale juice to add to fruit juices this way. The Champion juicer doesn't juice kale so this is a great way to sneak it into my son's drinks besides green smoothies.

I'm certain you can make all the juice you need for your fast with this method. :D

raw for two weeks? you need to practice some patient.

it didn't take you two weeks to get this unhealthy and overweight did it? give your body a break... stay raw - enjoy your experience and let go of the scale!

watermelon juice is super easy. You just need a big bowl and a colander. Squeeze the watermelon in your hand over the colander...

But aleesha is right - I have had many ups and downs, and weight off and on as you go.

Please give it a few months to know how you body is taking on the detox challenges.

If you want to fast - do it. But not for weight loss - for health, clarity, etc.

ya the scale is definitely a problem. I know it takes time, but I just felt like everyone seemed to see a big difference right away, just like i did, and then this week when it all went away, well I havent heard of that happening. And also i kept reading about how fasts can clean out your system and thought maybe that is something I need to do.

BTW, i just watched alissas dvds and looove them!
