What kind of recipe are looking for? There are TONS of good ones on this site. Check out this thread - it's a posting of some favorite recipes that don't require a dehydrator:

Hopefully posting the link worked. If not, click the "search" (banana) button above and search for "Favorite Without Dehydrator".

Hope this helps!

kale salad. a winner even with cooked-food eaters. there are various variations of the recipe on this site. make sure to massage the kale well with oil so the fibers get broken down and it gets tender. especialy yum with a sprinkling of nutritional yeast on it.

Yep, do a search here, you'll find heaps of recipes that don't require a dehydrator. :)

It's really easy to create a huge range of recipes with the two pieces of equipment you already have, in fact, I'd say they are the two most important pieces of equipment to have (if you make recipes that is, you don't actually need any equipment, except maybe for a good knife when eating raw).

You can make undehydrated burgers, mock tuna, salsa, cheeze sauce, cakes and fridge cookies, mousse, custard, ice cream, sorbet, chocolate, sushi, smoothies, milkshakes, nut/seed milks... the list is endless!

You're making me extremely hungry, My Friend said that this life style isnt healthy cause you dont get any protein, her only defense/back up was "my Friend ate veggies and got really sick" ahhahah...makes me laugh, mmm burgers..i wanna make those lol

Well, it's true in the "traditional" sense. What we do get are amino acids which eliminates the step of having to break down animal protein into amino acids, PLUS we get more of other nutrients and fiber so we can take care of biz. Go to YouTube and check out Tim VanOrden's vid on "The Protein Myth"... he'll explain. Also, I love Alissa's statement (paraphrasing ~ but she's got it here on RFT if you want to look it up)... "If athletes received protein from animals, why do they need so much?"...

lol, ask your friend where a cow gets her protein from, or what about a 300 pound gorilla? I'd like to see her go up to him enquire where he gets HIS protein from!

Greens are a great source of protein, we get enough from plant based sources. There are many other sources of plant based protein. I've been vegan for over a decade now, if there were a problem I should be dead by now, lol!

Burgers are so easy, there are heaps of recipes on this forum for them. A real quick and lazy way to make them is to chuck some walnuts into the food processor, along with some tomatoes, celery, mushrooms, onion or spring onion, bell pepper and carrot, couple of pinches of salt and blend till you can form them into a burger.

You can eat this on a bed of greens, or use two large lettuce leaves as 'bread', you could top it with a lazy salsa (tomato, onion, basil/ parsley, pinch of salt, dash of cold pressed oil, pulse in food processor till chunky), or a nut cheeze sauce. So many ways!

I just made a delicious "tuna" sandwich! You can't make the bread because you need a dehydrator BUT it would be mighty tasty on a bed of spinach....which is exactly what I'm going to do with the leftovers. I don't think we can post outside links here (not 100% sure), so just google "raw vegan tuna" and it'll be the first site. Make sure to make the mayo that it speaks of. It makes it taste so much better. I also diced up 1 green onion to mix into the finished product.

Something really simple that you can make is guacamole. And then just cut up some veggies to dip in it! Quick, easy and super tasty.

too late for lunch :p but i would use some of the 3 bucks to buy a ripe avocado and make kale salad, if you have olive oil at home. do you have any nuts or seeds? if not, great to stock up on a few next time you have money. also if you buy lentils you can sprout them and make a great raw lentil salad with them and theyre CHEAP!
