In the belief that we crave what we need for repair and such, what might be the reason that I have been craving these foods for the past 2 weeks? What might be repaired or worked on by eating such a large amount of these fruits?

I have been eating about 4 to 6 oranges a day for months now. I don't want them juiced like before, I have to actually eat them now, also cantaloupe, been wanting that too.
HUMMMMM only orange food, how strange, but not carrots.LOL

Oh yes, I eat carrots all the time, every day, about 1/2lb a day. That is normal for me.
The strong craving for the other is new though.
I do love the color orange (and all of its shades) and just put out all my fall decorations about 2 weeks ago. Hmmmmmm!

For about the past month, all I ever want to eat is oranges. I thought maybe it was all the exercise (going back to my soccer mom days when we had to bring that for half-time). Maybe it's just the change of the season and we want winter fruit. It will be interesting if anyone can answer your question Autumn.

My guilty pleasure is tomatoes and apples. I bought two, count 'em two baskets last week at the farmers market...one ginger gold and one Royal Gala...they're not organic but at least they're local. I'll finish those within a week. I'm onto my second largish basket of tomatoes in 4 days...man they're good. Lots of lycopene!

these fruit are an excellent source of water, besides other nutrients. I find that I crave citrus fruit every morning (when we are most dehydrated), and often in the evening, after my salad. Also, I find that when thirsty, nothing satisfies me better than citrus fruit, not even bottled water. Perhaps, this is because water in the fruit is of the best quality, and it has just the right amount of ingredients in it, exactly what my body needs. Most people do not realize how dehydrated they are, and I read that many health problems can be triggered by dehydration. Water! Errr, juicy fruit!!!
All the best,
Gosia.

Hmmmm. The water content might explain it. It was ungodly hot and humid here again this weekend. I was outside helping my husband build a fence and I was just dripping the whole time. I drank a LOT of water, but I still wanted the oranges and clementines and tangelos. Maybe it is like you said, Gosia, that it is the very *best* water I am craving.
