I'm looking for a good "unchicken salad" recipe, one that really captures the flavor of the traditional! I've been craving it since I went raw three months ago. Anybody have a good one? Thanks! :)

This looks delicious! My list of 'must make' recipes grows longer by the day. :)

I made this today and took it to a party. It was well liked by a lot of the S.A.D diners and very much appreciated by several of the more savvy healthy diners. Everyone wanted to know what was in it. They couldn't tell from looking or tasting. :)

I know you are looking for chicken salad but I made this tuna salad recipe and it was amazing and simple!!! My SAD eating husband even liked it. :p Just by looking at the recipe, you can change a couple of things to make it chickens salad. I would leave out the dulse flakes and make pickle unless you want to keep that.

Let me know what you think!:)

I just made your recipe RawKnitster and it's chillin' as I type! I think I'll use the half sweet pepper - should be delicious! I did add a Bubby's pickle. *Ü*

I just made something very similar, except I substituted a lot of the veggies since I didn't have cucumber on hand. I threw in a similar amount of green pepper, onion and carrot instead. About a cucumber's worth!

I am not sure why I've never made this before. Soooooooo good! Fab textures, totally chicken-salady! So much so that my husband (strict vegetarian) got grossed out looking at it.

I served it in lettuce wraps.

Glad you shared this one!

I made this to your tweaks RawKnitster and it is SO good! I really liked the apple in there and I liked the fact that you cut the nuts and seeds in half!

I'll definitely add this to my 'Favorites' notebook - thanks so much for posting this! *Ü*

Wow, I just made this for dinner...thank you RawKnitster..again, you came through for us..
I tweaked it because I didn't have all the ingredients but wow..amazing..
I added 1 carrot, halved the nuts like you did, even added salmon seasoning ( I didn't have dill and really wanted that taste, it worked) and omitted cucumber..
One of my new favorites and so easy..wow.
